As the Ride For Freedom Wales Tour starts to draw to a close, we reflect on the journey Gordon Miller embarked on, cycling approximately 254 miles to champion the cause of modern slavery awareness intersecting with the urgent issue of climate change. Your support has been instrumental in driving our mission forward, and as we near the finish line, we want to share with you the profound impact your donation can make. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭: Your support helps prevent modern slavery through awareness campaigns and education initiatives, stopping exploitation before it starts, like the visit to Radnor Primary School. 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭: Your contribution provides survivors with opportunities for a better future through our Freewheel programme, offering education and empowerment. 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐞: With your help, survivors can access training and job opportunities, breaking free from the cycle of slavery through the completion and ownership of the Freewheel bike. Saving the planet for future generations starts with small changes that make a big impact on our environment and the people in it. Your donation is more than just money—it's a beacon of hope. Turn your Nouns into Verbs! Great wisdom shared by Trennis Jones at TreeFolks annual Root Ball gala that we were proud to sponsor last Thursday night. Thanks ANDREW CORTES, P.E. for the invitation to get engaged with such a great organization! I’ve never met Trennis, but those words sure did resonate with me! It’s a whole lot easier to talk the talk vs walk the walk. There’s all sorts of clichés in our culture about putting your money where your mouth is and being more than just words. How do we turn good ideas or heartfelt intentions into actual actions that will make it difference? This goes well beyond sponsoring a charity or serving for a nonprofit to plant some trees and educate folks about what we care about. It’s got applicability in our relationships, work, family, fitness, and community. Another great one he used was “if your philanthropy only benefits people you know, we’re not doing it right!” We’ve been pretty busy the last five years at Tree Mann Solutions building a business and team. While we have done some volunteering here and there, we are sure excited about the future and the foundation we have built to be able to make a larger impact at scale for good moving forward. We are here to create and deliver innovative solutions for people and their environment - that syncs up real well with Tree Folks I’d say! We are excited to give there and find other great nonprofits across the state doing good things with trees, planting, education and canopy equity. Which ones do you like? #trees #arborist #givingback

Take a moment to pause. Look out the window. Notice what's outside. Where can you glimpse nature just... being? Watch as the leaves move in the breeze, or the sun shines on the world. Listen as the birds chirp in the trees, or the rain drips on the ground. Notice yourself here, a part of nature, a part of this interconnected web. Take a moment to breathe. To just 'be with.' To spend a moment where nothing is expected of you, just that you are your true nature, exactly as you are. Taking moments like these to just pause throughout our day, notice what's going on, and then move on, can be grounding and supportive in a world that feels in constant crisis. If you found this practice helpful, please consider making a donation to our EOFY campaign so that we can continue to bring our work to more people and communities: https://buff.ly/4bwiele

🌍 Giving Generously, Giving Wisely 🌍 Arizona, the state I call home, ranked 49th in the latest WalletHub study on generosity. Having worked in and with the nonprofit sector for a few decades, we never let a number define what's possible! Across the U.S., we are a giving nation, with $560 billion donated to charity in 2023, and more than half of it coming directly from individuals - people like YOU. That’s something to celebrate and build on for #GivingTuesday tomorrow. This year, Earth Gives was invited into the #GivingTuesday family and we are thrilled to be using the EarthGives.org platform to showcase more than 100 nonprofits from across the United State focused on urgent needs: climate action, environmental stewardship, and the fight against pollution - air, water, plastic and beyond. These issues affect us all—yet only 2% of all generosity goes to climate and the environment, and only 0.5% to climate justice. The people behind these issues work to protect the water you drink or fish in, the food you eat, the education your kid gets on the environment, the biodiversity we need to live on a habitable planet. At EarthGives.org, you will find one stop shopping experience to explore and support more than 100 incredible nonprofits making an impact. Let's take a lesson from the most charitable states in the U.S.—Wyoming, Utah, and Minnesota. 💚 This GivingTuesday find your cause. Because generosity isn’t just about what we give—it’s about what we protect for future generations. #GivingTuesday #EarthGives #ClimateAction #EnvironmentalStewardship Better than #CyberMonday

Today, on this Giving Tuesday, I want to shine a spotlight on an incredible organization that is making waves in our community: i-tri girls! 💖 As an advocate for empowering the next generation of women, I can’t stress enough the importance of organizations like i-tri, which has been a beacon of hope and strength for girls on the east end of Long Island. They are not just changing lives; they are transforming our communities by fostering confidence and resilience in middle school girls. i-tri is more than just an organization – it’s a movement! 🚀 Their programs inspire these young women to step out of their comfort zones and achieve what once felt impossible, like completing a triathlon. 🏊♀️🚴♀️🏃♀️ But it doesn’t stop there. The lessons learned and the belief instilled in these girls empower them to carry this newfound strength well beyond the finish line. It is heartening to see i-tri expanding their mission to enrich even more communities. Together, we can help pave the way for a brighter future for our girls, ensuring they believe in themselves and their limitless potential. If you feel inspired to donate to this organization, please click here: https://itrigirls.org/ Your contributions can make a lasting impact and help fuel the movement to empower more young women to embrace their inner strength. 💪💕 #GivingTuesday #iTriGirls #Empowerment #NextGeneration #Confidence #SupportLocal

🌟 Did you know that April is Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month? It's an annual campaign aimed at educating the public about what a limb difference is and the various reasons why they occur. If your ‘normal’ is to be limb different, then your daily life is just that – it’s normal! Humans are incredibly adaptive, and whether it’s driving a car, working out, cleaning the house, or going shopping, we all adapt these tasks in relation to our physical form. At Team Bax, one of our goals is to support organizations dedicated to enhancing the lives of those with limb differences. This year, we're proud to highlight Less Leg More Heart, an organization that has developed a program to fundraise for donating running blades to amputees. By providing access to such adaptive equipment, they're not just giving the gift of mobility, but also empowering individuals to pursue their passions and dreams. We want to encourage you to learn more at their website and support their mission like we do! We would 💚 to hear your opinion At Nooch.Earth we make and sell plant based, biodegradable sneakers. They cost €159 and €179. For each pair sold, we set aside some money for marketing. Instead of spending on ads or discounts, we intend to partner with grassroots movements. We'll work together to spread awareness for each other's causes. Plus, we'll donate a part of each sale to support these groups Here's how it works: Sign up for our newsletter and get a special code. Use it when you buy Noochies, and some of your purchase goes to these causes. Our first partnership is with WISE. They're doing great work buying up and destroying CO2 emission rights with their Carbon Killer campaign. But, what's a fair amount? What feels right to you from a customer point of view? If the donation is too small, it might not feel like it's making a real difference. But if it's too big, it could feel like we're spending too much. Some people might think it's better to lower the shoe prices instead. 💸 So what do you think is a fair amount to donate with each purchase? Share your thoughts in the comments below ⤵ #WisdomOfTheCrowd #Philanthropy #VoteWithYourFeet #ConsciousConsumer #Giving #Grassroots
