Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude, but it’s also an opportunity to give back to those in need. If you want to spread kindness and generosity this holiday season, consider volunteering your time. Local shelters and food banks often need extra hands during the holidays, so spending a few hours serving meals or organizing food drives can make a significant difference for those less fortunate. Another meaningful way to give back is by donating food or essentials. Gather non-perishable food items, toiletries, or warm clothing to donate to your local charity or shelter. Every little bit helps! Additionally, consider supporting local businesses for your Thanksgiving needs. By choosing to shop local, you’ll not only find unique items but also help your community thrive. If you have a workplace or community group, you could also start a giving tree. Organize a giving tree where people can donate gifts for families in need. If you have specific skills, think about sharing them with others. Whether it’s cooking, tutoring, or crafting, offering your skills to those who might benefit can create a lasting impact. Let’s make this Thanksgiving more than just a feast. How will you give back this year? Share your ideas in the comments! 🦃❤️ . . . #verdemarcom #jodygreene #thanksgiving #thankful #thanksgivingday #turkeyday #grateful #thanksgivingdinner #harvestseason #thanksgiving2024 #friendsgiving #holidayseason #familytime #thanksgivingvibes #thanksgivingfeast #thanksgivinglove #givingthanks #thankfulheart #celebratethanksgiving #holidaycheer #thanksgivingcelebration #thanksgivingtraditions #thankfulfor #thanksgivingtable #thankfulthursday #fallharvest

Did you know your #vendingmachinebusiness is a great opportunity to positively impact your community? Here's how you can make a difference while growing your business: ⚕️Promote community wellness by offering nutritious snacks and drinks. 🤝Support beneficial local orgs by sponsoring school events, supporting community centers, or collaborating with local charities. 💸Donate a percentage of profits to local causes that align with your values. (This is also a business write-off on your taxes!) 🤓Use your machines to share health tips and nutritional information. 🥜Source products from local businesses when possible, to help each other grow. ♻️Implement recycling programs and use eco-friendly practices whenever possible. Remember, small actions can have a big impact. When a community focus is part your business model, you're not just selling snacks and drinks—you're building a better neighborhood. 💚 #healthyyouvending #communityimpact #mondaymotivation #growyourbusiness #bethechange

I love that we've seen such an increase in interest in supporting causes we care about on Giving Tuesday, but I also feel like this is a valuable (and often missed) opportunity to focus on uplifting organizations that truly match our values. Most people know that food pantries lack the supply and capacity to provide shoppers with everything they’ll need to get through the month. Restricting visits and quantity is a common solution. But somehow, these limitations have become entwined with the idea that they also prevent people from growing “too dependent” on assistance. If you're donating to an anti-hunger organization, make sure to support efforts that practice the belief that everyone deserves to eat, and understand that hunger is a systemic rather than personal problem. No one can be "too dependent" on food. https://lnkd.in/gHdfF6hB #whodeservestoeat #foodjustice

At DFR, community is the heart of everything we do. We strive to ensure our programs honor the dignity of every individual we serve. Instead of relying on a single hub to distribute recovered food, our decentralized No Cost Grocery Program (NCGP) model allows us to meet people where they are—in their own communities, where they feel safe and comfortable. We partner with 21 nonprofits, schools, health centers, and resident councils so that people can easily access food in familiar, trusted community spaces. Often, community members themselves help set up and distribute the food, meaning neighbors are receiving food from people they know and trust—not from outsiders who may not fully understand their unique needs and preferences. This model prioritizes agency, which is the first step toward achieving true food sovereignty. 💚 Help us sustain this work by donating to Denver Food Rescue this Colorado Gives Day at https://lnkd.in/grnBY_2F. #CommunityFirst #FoodRecovery #NutritionSecurity #NoCostGroceries #DenverFoodRescue #FoodJustice #FoodAccessForAll

As brands are poised for the holiday season, the landscape is looking increasingly different 🎄 Consumers are using their spending power to drive change. Brands that donate a portion of sales to charities, support community initiatives, or champion environmental efforts are more likely to win the hearts of today’s shoppers, who want their holiday purchases to support something meaningful. In fact, nearly 60% of shoppers are likely to switch brands if they feel a brand's purpose aligns with their own values. How are you planning your holiday season differently this year? #sustainability #sustainablebrands #holidayseason
