About us

TowerPinkster is a firm of architects and engineers committed to design integrity, quality, and environmental responsibility. Our doors opened in 1953 with just six people and now we have more than 200 of the best employees in in the Midwest. We turn possibilities into realities. Most of our clients are in commercial, healthcare, K-12 education, higher education, and government. No two days are the same around our offices, but our philosophy about what we do and how we do it remains constant. We believe we can never do less than our best...for every client, every time. We believe that as an architecture and engineering firm, our commitment to sustainability can be no less than complete. Proof of this is that our Kalamazoo office is our industry’s first LEED-certified building in Michigan, and our Grand Rapids office earned LEED-Platinum - at the time the only A/E firm in the state to achieve this. TowerPinkster uses imagination, innovation, and integration to create bold, transforming results while providing superior service and project management. We are committed to the creative design of exceptional, high-performance, sustainable environments for our clients and our communities. We create an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration within our multi-disciplinary team to develop holistic solutions and successful designs.

  • We are excited to showcase our highlight video of the Western Michigan University Dunbar Hall Renovation. Partnered with HGA, we transformed Dunbar Hall into a vibrant, sustainable, and student-centered space! Since 1971, Dunbar Hall has been the beating heart of WMU’s College of Arts & Sciences. After a complete transformation focused on flexibility, accessibility, and modern learning, it’s once again a central hub on campus! Dunbar now "puts learning on display" like never before! Catch clear views of the Media Studio, Dance Studio, and cutting-edge spaces designed to showcase student creativity and innovation. The Media Suite boasts top-tier broadcasting, podcasting, and journalism tools, while the eye-catching glass addition and state-of-the-art dance studio add even more to this revitalized space. Wayfinding was key to making Dunbar more accessible: pops of WMU Gold at entrances and a mix of colors inside help students navigate. Each piece of furniture was chosen with flexibility in mind, empowering students and faculty to arrange spaces for any need. This sustainable design also includes high-efficiency systems, green roofs, and bird-safe glass. Our Building Science team is now seeking LEED Gold certification for Dunbar Hall! https://lnkd.in/gNpubpHd

Combined with a company match, the TowerPinkster team donated more than $27,000 this holiday season to support the missions of the Literacy Center of West Michigan, YWCA Kalamazoo, and Brandon's House Counseling Center. Congratulations to all of our team members and a huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their time or donated this year. Happy Holidays! READ MORE: https://lnkd.in/gw6ScZzW
