♻️ "Circularity" emerged as the central theme of tonight's Detroit Renovation and Reuse conversation, hosted by architectural firm ROSSETTI in the City of Detroit. ⚠️ From a business marketers point of view 🤷♂️ 🏗️ Pushing the boundaries of the built environment and championing sustainable design is key for adaptive reuse and hitting sustainability targets. 🥗 Tonight's discussion was a hearty feast for the intellect, although we were also treated to a delectable spread of appetizers. 🎤 It was great to hear from the collection of influential voices assembled tonight who are spearheading the conversation on sustainability and optimal reuse of buildings and valuable raw materials. #aecindustry #sustainability #design #construction #architect

Incredible things are shaping up on Detroit's East Riverfront! The nations #1 Riverwalk is gearing up to offer even more reasons to visit! Check out the full story on Crain's Detroit Business below: ROSSETTI Bedrock Detroit
Scoop with David Eggert and Kurt Nagl in Crain's Detroit Business: General Motors and Dan Gilbert's Bedrock Detroit are planning to tear down two of the automaker's five Renaissance Center towers as part of a reimagining of the long-struggling complex the automaker is vacating next year in a major realignment of the city’s business and commercial real estate landscape. Two of the 39-story office towers — 300 and 400 — on the Detroit riverfront are slated for demolition, freeing up more land for public space along the water. One of the remaining towers is slated for residential conversion into some 300-400 units, while another is expected to undergo an overhaul as spruced-up office space for new tenants, Kofi Bonner, CEO of Bedrock, said in an interview with Crain's. The 1,300-room Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center hotel tower, the state’s tallest building at 73 stories and 727 feet, would also be carved up; reducing the hotel to some 850 rooms on the lower levels and reserving the top levels for what Bonner described as high-end residential space.
