  • 🌈 LGBTQ+ joy shines in Leeds! This week, colleagues and allies from across the UK gathered in our Leeds office to celebrate the many achievements, progress, and impact of our Rainbow Network this year. The theme was LGBTQ+ Joy, and it was a feeling shared by everyone at the event, thanks to inspiring guest speakers and a heartfelt recap of Pride 2024. A huge thank you to the amazing panellists who shared their stories, our charity partner Crisis and friends at Switchboard - National LGBTQ+ Support Line for being fantastic speakers. Roll on 2025! 🎊

  • Heard the news, Cardiff? We’re moving into a new home in the heart of the city! 🏢🔑    What’ll be so special about our John Street office? Well, for a start…    - The building is designed to BREEAM Excellent certification, emphasising sustainable and energy efficient design. - Our new hub will include a returning parents room, contemplation rooms and Changing Places facility.  - There’ll be a free fitness space with equipment and classes.  - Oh, and there’ll be a roof terrace for the days the sun makes an appearance.   We’re excited to continue our workplace transformations to give our colleagues everything they need to work and thrive in support of our customers.

  • Thrilled to see our amazing colleagues Kate Grannell and Lee Brown featured in INvolve - The Inclusion People 2024 Enable Role Model list, recognising leaders using their personal experiences of disability, neurodiversity, and mental health to advance inclusion in the workplace.   ✨As co-chair of our Neurodiversity & Disability network, Lee has launched numerous initiatives this year, including 13 regional Neurodiversity Hubs. As a charity trustee for a mental health organisation, Lee also advocates for others externally too.   ✨Kate is a passionate driver for neuro-inclusion, sharing her neurodiversity journey to inspire and support colleagues. Leading our Neurodiversity Hub in Chester, Kate has mentored colleagues and organised inclusive events to promote open conversations and provided a safe space for colleagues to discuss their lived experience.   Congratulations Lee & Kate! 🤍

  • ‼️The investment gap is real, and it starts young.   Scottish Widows latest Women and Retirement report found that only 34% of women aged between 18-24 say they invest outside of pensions, compared to 64% of men of the same age.    And there's not just disparities in the younger generations, the gender gap in investment behaviour is significant across all ages, meaning women on average have less long-term savings they can rely on for retirement.

  • 🎄What are your top tips for managing your money this Christmas?🎄 (Warning: This content may contain flashing lights or patterns that could cause seizures in individuals with photosensitive epilepsy. Viewer discretion is advised)    We headed to Birmingham's Christmas market to ask people how they keep track of what they're spending over the festive period. Find out what they had to say in this video.     And because it's Christmas, we've thrown in some extra tips from us below! 1. Review existing payments: Make use of any spending insights your banking app provides to see what you can cut back on.  2. Check if you can earn rewards on purchases: Some banks, like Lloyds, offer rewards like cashback each time you use your credit or debit card.  3. Seek support: If you need help, don't delay asking. The sooner you do it, the sooner you can get your finances on track.

  • Winter blockbusters defy gravity as cinema spending soars!   Last Saturday saw the biggest number of cinema transactions since last summer’s Barbenheimer craze, according to our debit card spending data. Over 111,000 transactions were made and over £2m spent, on the Saturday alone. The average transaction was just under £19. This is thanks to movies like Wicked, Paddington in Peru, Gladiator 2 and Moana 2 all currently topping the box-office.   So we want to know…

  • Hello, I’m Xinyi. Music has always been an important part of my life since I was a child. I’ve performed in recitals, both in the UK and overseas, and I even met my husband through our love of piano 💚 For something that’s a such a big part of my life, in my old career in consultancy, the work culture meant I didn’t really dare show that side of me. Here as a Data Science Manager, I feel I don’t have to hide my music anymore – I feel proud and encouraged to pursue it. My role focuses on how and why we’re doing things a certain way, and how we can use data to innovate and transform the way we support our customers. So having the support to create a work/life balance that suits me means I can bring my best self to the work I do to be part of this big transformation!
