Dumbest strategic decision we took at StackIt! 🤦 We are airing our dirty laundry! 👇 We all know focus is key... don't we? Despite all this knowledge, we made a blunder. Last year, in a burst of misguided enthusiasm, Abhinav, Manan, and I decided to divide and conquer by pursuing three different GTM tracks simultaneously. The initial rush soon gave way to a sobering reality. 2 weeks passed with relentless effort but no tangible progress. We were executing but there was no success. We again huddled up, we again refined our approach, changed some things here and there, and then again did a bunch of activities. Again, nothing moved. It took a painful period of reflection, frustration, and intense debate, to confront the truth we had been avoiding: our focus was scattered. In our ambition to cover more ground, we had lost sight of the essential principle that underpins success - focus. We regrouped, we started focusing on just one track - RevOps. The shift was dramatic. Things started moving again. We started seeing momentum - cold emails got response, cold messages on Linkedin got replies, community interactions yielded results, new users started trickling in, and they started complaining. Things moved. Momentum was unlocked. Focus leads to clarity, clarity leads to momentum.

Exciting times ahead! 🚀 Those who have been following my journey, you already know that we've been working on something for the last 6 months which is a key problem that we faced while scaling Vertocity and we've recently deployed our tool to a US-based company, and through this engagement, we've identified two key industries where our solution can drive maximum impact. This validation is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our rockstar team. 🌟 As we continue to work closely with our client, providing daily feedback loops with both their team and our internal tech squad, a crucial principle guides our approach: We must remain steadfast in upholding the core vision of what we're building. 🎯 Our goal transcends merely developing software for consumers; "we're selling the outcomes enabled by our solution. 🌐" While it's imperative to understand and fulfil our client's requirements, we must be cautious not to deviate from the essence of our offering. Each decision we make should be a calculated step towards delivering exceptional value and achieving the desired impact for our customers. 💯 In the two industries we've identified, our focus will be on addressing their unique challenges and pain points, leveraging our tool's capabilities to drive tangible improvements in their processes, operations, and bottom line. 📈 We're not just implementing features; we're engineering solution that genuinely make a difference. 💡 As we navigate this exciting phase, we must remain vigilant about potential pitfalls. Two areas we'll be particularly mindful of are: 1. Not to get carried away building a custom tool for clients and deviating from the core vision of you what you want to build and 2. Not get too much attached to features or initial MVP because you never know when you'd need to adapt/drift away towards something which is more meaningful. By staying true to our vision while actively collaborating with our clients, we can unlock unprecedented value and cement our position as industry leaders. 🏆 I'm incredibly proud of our team's accomplishments, and I'm eager to see the positive impact we'll create in these two industries and beyond. 🌍 Share your thoughts and experiences on balancing client demands with maintaining a clear strategic vision. 💬 Let's continue to learn and grow together as we conquer new heights! 🧗♀️🧗♂️ Who's ready to join us on this exciting journey? Drop a 🚀 if you're pumped!

Great nuggets of insights from Arvind Jain during his chat with Rajan Anandan, where he delves into the importance of staying focused on crafting a good product, building a strong team, learning from customer interactions, and the future of AI. As I’ve been reflecting on Glean’s historic last week: $260+ million Series E round at a $4.6 billion valuation, new product capabilities to enable everyone to use our Work AI platform, as well as our first virtual launch event - Glean GO: Fall’24, I’ve been hearing a lot of talk about “founder mode.” While I agree with the sentiments of being closely involved with your product and the business, I believe in the “entrepreneurial spirit,” which starts with trust in your team. In a recent conversation with Rajan Anandan of Peak XV Partners, I shared some advice for startup founders: 1️⃣ Don’t lose hope; continue to persist. Building a company feels and is hard, but it does get easier. About six months into Rubrik, I began to have some doubts and wondered if I made a mistake, but I’m a big believer that things happen if we persist. If you keep working on the problem, eventually, the solution will arrive. 2️⃣ The company is all about its people. In the early stages, your company is not about your idea; it’s about the people and building a great team. In the first year at Glean, I didn’t write any code, I was a full-time recruiter. 3️⃣ Drive is our biggest moat. We had the desire to take the time to build a great product, understand our customers, and learn from them. If you build a good product that solves a real problem, work hard on it, and have a good team, you’ll succeed. I’m incredibly proud of the Glean team for everything accomplished last week and thankful to our customers, partners, and investors for their continued support. https://bit.ly/4gmYtzB

UPDATE: Scaling Fast in Stealth Mode The journey continues, and things are really heating up over here. Since my last post, we’ve tripled our paying customer base and officially rolled out our product to a select beta group. The feedback? Stellar. Not only are we saving them time, but we’re also making them look like absolute heroes to their teams. 🦸♀️🦸♂️ The word of mouth flywheel is already gaining momentum. Of course, it hasn’t been without its hiccups. We hit a minor fulfillment/launch snag (classic early-stage drama), but we resolved it quickly, and customers were incredibly understanding. Lesson learned, and the team rallied like pros. Speaking of the team, I’ve gotta say—this is the most junior team I’ve ever worked with, but their enthusiasm is off the charts. They’re hungry, eager to contribute, and stepping up in ways that keep surprising me. (Let’s just say, you won’t find this kind of energy on LinkedIn job boards.) 💸 By the numbers: - Funnel performance: 85% of cold outreach prospects have indicated interest, and 71% have converted to paying customers. I mean, are we even doing outbound if we’re not seeing those metrics? - Demand: We’re getting so much traction that we’re close to needing a waitlist for certain products so we don't grow too quickly. Scarcity = 🔑. - Deal size: Average deal size is 40% lower than expected, but with costs running well below projections, it’s not an issue for us. Before taking a cut for ourselves we're over 10x average profit margin across the industry. Efficiency FTW. Big things are happening, and we’re just getting started. This “scrappy little idea” is really shaping up and the team and I are learning a ton along the way. Oh, and if you were hoping for the big reveal—hang tight. For now, just know that it's gonna be suh-weet. #stealthmode #growthhacking #buildinginpublic #earlystage

It's the final 2 days of Q1 - Are your quarterly #EOS ROCKS complete? To be honest, our team is sliding into home plate...just barely getting a couple of them in! With a group of #highachievers who don't want to get to next week's meeting and report that the rock isn't complete, it's been a very lively week! The end of the month is always a flurry of activity and #teamwork figuring out how we can get it all done. We're sprinting to the finish on a couple of big #companyrocks that I challenged the team with. It's a positive pressure that shines a light on the important but not urgent matters in our business. This quarter's rocks were related to: - New #productlaunch (one that would never get off the ground were it not a rock) - Formalizing a key #bizdev process and protocol - Formalizing #professionaldevelopment plans for employees - Overhauling the Heights #brandscript to match some strategic changes in our business - New filing conventions established and rolled out on all our operations What were your company rocks this quarter? Are you scrambling, celebrating, or somewhere in between? 😎

"You can't invest in RevOps early enough." That's a direct quote from Mark Kosoglow, CEO and Co-Founder at Operator. So why does Mark believe this? 5 main reasons 👇🏻 1️⃣ Connection 2️⃣ Automation 3️⃣ Unbiased 4️⃣ Diversity 5️⃣ Technical Oh and you know what else Mark believes? "There will be NO more important role in GTM than RevOps in 5 (3?) years." 🤩 Speaking our language, which is why we're so excited to have him speak at RevOpsAF 2025 USA in New Orleans 🙌🏻 Mark was the first sales hire and former SVP of Sales at Outreach. He was also the first CRO at Catalyst Software, a leading customer success platform. And now he's building Operator, a revenue technology company. To say he's got some experience to pull from is, well, an understatement 🤯 And he'll be joined by some other incredible folks, including: Cristina De Martini, VP and Research Director at Forrester Darrell Alfonso, Director of Marketing Strategy and Ops at Indeed Ryan Milligan, VP of RevOps at QuotaPath Wanna see what these folks have to say when they hit the stage in May 2025? 🎫 Learn more and claim your ticket at the website - link in first comment 👇🏻 #revops #revenueoperations #salesops #salesoperations #marketingops #marketingoperations #csops #cxops #gtmops #alltheops #revopsAF

2024 marked 10 years of Handshake. It’s been my philosophy since day one that we’ll get where we want to go by stacking days—putting in the best effort you can every day and then waking up to do it again the next day. This is how we approach building our product, too. Stacking wins day after day to hit goals that feel unthinkably big in the beginning. The big difference is that today we’re building for 15 million students and ~1M employers. These products help students find their way in the world, recruiters reach the right talent, and career educators help students launch their career. Check out what we built this year: https://bit.ly/41AHIM7

I'm on track to make $1,000,000 more in 2025 Here's how: I didn't come up with the words. I only came up with this image. And changed some of the words. But I don't know who came up with this. It's been shared around without credit. So I designed my own with some changes. Here's my 3-step checklist to achieve it: 1. Build in public 2. Create more resources 3. Help 1 million people productize Joining me? Get started here → https://lnkd.in/gsXiVviZ
