Our partner Lead Exposure Elimination Project is leading crucial work for mitigating lead exposure, and you can help! One of the primary sources of lead exposure is paint, and our partner Lead Exposure Elimination Project has been leading global lead paint regulation efforts. Founded in 2020, LEEP has been assisting governments and manufacturers in 20+ countries with lead paint elimination. Through our Global Health Advocacy Training Program, you can work directly with LEEP on groundbreaking projects: 📊 Global Trade Restrictions: Work to establish the first-ever global restriction on hazardous lead compounds used to produce paint. Para Acopinturas y sus empresas afiliadas es una prioridad enfocar todos los esfuerzos en impulsar la calidad, la formalidad y las buenas prácticas hacia un sector de pinturas cada vez más sostenible que cuide a las personas y al planeta. Por este motivo nos unimos en una alianza con Lead Exposure Elimination Project y Victoria Krauss con el fin de trabajar hacia la eliminación de plomo en pintura a través de iniciativas como capacitación gratuita en reformulación de pinturas libres de plomo y el enlace de fabricantes con proveedores de materias primas libres de plomo. Como primer paso, realizamos el evento híbrido “innovación responsable: transformando la industria para un futuro libre de plomo” en el que participaron más de 100 asistentes de todo el país de sector privado, gobierno, academia y sociedad civil, entre otros. 🌟 ANAFAPYT held its Jornadas Técnicas 2024 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México, a strategic location due to its industrial leadership and strong connection for economic development. This event brought together over 300 industry technicians, highlighting the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing in the sector on technology and regulations. 🤝💡 The event was hosted by Marcelo E Herrera Díaz, ANAFAPYT's President, and Flor de María González Mariblanca, ANAFAPYT's General Director. In this framework, the Master Workshop "Formulation of Lead-Free Paints" took place, led by Philip Green, consultant of the Lead Exposure Elimination Project (LEEP), along with Victoria Krauss.
