About us

Leisure Education for Exceptional People (LEEP) enriches lives through inclusive education, recreation and healthy living opportunities. LEEP provides recreation and leisure programming for people with disabilities that focuses on increasing life skills, self esteem building, and healthy living. Additionally, there is a large focus on community inclusion and integration of people living with disabilities into the Greater Mankato community. Increasing education and community inclusion provides opportunities for people with disabilities to live a fulfilling life through employment, recreation, socialization, and independent living. Programming can change the life of one participant and lift up the entire community. Currently we provide programming for over 800 participants who participate in our programs, many on a weekly basis. LEEP is the largest Special Olympics delegation in the state of Minnesota and has over 330 athletes who compete on 17 different teams annually. #nolimits
