    In recruitment, dealing with candidates who don’t respond or FFK (fong fei kei / no show) is part of the process. Here’s how I approach it as a recruiter with a decade of experience: First, set a clear timeline. For example, I’ll tell a candidate, “Please get back to us by 12 PM.” If they’re truly interested, they’ll usually respond within the timeframe. Second, follow up 3 times. If there’s no response after 3 follow-up, I move on to the backup candidate. Time is precious, and so is professionalism. Third, gauge the seriousness in rescheduling. This applies not just to candidates but also to meetings, friendships, and relationships. If someone suggests rescheduling but doesn’t propose a new time, chances are it’s not a priority for them. One tip for you: Always re-propose the slot if you’re serious, it shows that you value the engagement! Efficiency and clarity save time and energy for everyone.
