Recently our team had the privilege to meet up with Dr Dave Smith, National Technology Advisor for the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) UK, together with the representatives from the Department of Business and Trade (DBT) UK and CSA Catapult. It was an incredible opportunity to discuss and explore how technology & innovation can enhance industry development, create high-income jobs, and drive economic growth. On 24-25 October 2024, SMD participated in the INPHO Venture Summit in Bordeaux, France, which involves Europe's leading deep tech investors and entrepreneurs to explore investment opportunities in sectors such as Generative AI, AI Infrastructure, Computing, Semiconductors, TechBio, Energy, and Climate Technologies. Our CEO, Shariman Jamil, introduced SMD to potential investors and highlighted Sarawak's strengths as a growing and leading innovation hub in Southeast Asia to spur economic growth and steer the nation's sustainability efforts.
