  • Meet Kevin Castilaw, one of our step-up Shift Superintendents who has been with the company for nearly 18 years! Growing up in a small logging community, he learned hard work and perseverance from his father. These lessons shaped his career and motivated him to build strong relationships with his team rooted in respect and trust. For Kevin, a successful shift means everyone goes home the same way they arrived. As a Shift Superintendent, he's learned that good leadership is about listening, building trust, and being consistent in his decisions. In his downtime, he enjoys unwinding on his pasture swing with his wife, while drinking coffee and talking to his cows (He says if you have cows, you would understand 😂). His advice for anyone wanting to pursue this path? "Not only do you need to be a good leader, you need to be a better listener. Surround yourself with intelligent people who share the same goals and work ethics as you, and then lead to your best ability."

  • This week, we had the joy of welcoming students from Amelia, Charlton-Pollard, and Pietzsch-MacArthur Elementary Schools at our Beaumont Complex and Beaumont Polyethylene Plant for some festive holiday caroling. The halls were filled with the sounds of holiday music performed by the talented Pietzsch-MacArthur band, while the energy came alive with holiday songs and cheers from Amelia and Charlton-Pollard students. Thank you, young scholars, for sharing your voices, talents, and enthusiasm with us and spreading some holiday cheer!

  • Meet another one of our dedicated Shift Superintendents, Aaron Boyd! With nearly 19 years under his boots, safety is his top priority, guiding his team through every shift to ensure everyone goes home safely. For Aaron, a successful day means seeing everyone return just as they arrived and knowing that each task contributes to a safer, more efficient facility. He keeps his team motivated by making his rounds through different areas, engaging with all team members, and sometimes having a little caffeine boost (or maybe a lot)! When he's off the clock, Aaron spends time with his wife and three kids and works on cars. His advice to newcomers? "Don't be afraid to ask questions, even if you think you should know the answer."

  • At ExxonMobil Beaumont, we believe in making a positive impact in the community. Yesterday, we were proud to participate in the City of Beaumont Neighborhood Clean Blitz in Charlton-Pollard, focused on creating a cleaner and more beautiful Beaumont. In addition to the event, we were thrilled to announce a $100,000 contribution to the South East Texas Regional Planning Commission to fund energy efficiency and weatherization projects in the Charlton-Pollard neighborhood.

  • Meet Cleman Bogard, one of our Shift Superintendents who has been with the ExxonMobil family for nearly 23 years! As the Incident Commander during emergency response, Cleman's focus is to keep everyone safe. He encourages his team to stay focused and always ask questions if clarity is needed. To Cleman, a successful shift looks like maintaining safe and reliable operations. In his free time, Cleman unwinds by the pool or by getting his hands dirty with some yard work. It's his way to recharge after a shift. His advice for anyone new to this role? "Keep asking questions and verify everything -- it's key to keeping our operations safe and efficient."

  • Meet one of our dedicated Shift Superintendents who has been with ExxonMobil Beaumont for 20 years, Felton Carry! After graduating from Central High School in 2001, Felton pursued a career in Process Operations. Felton's role is crucial in ensuring everyone goes home safely at the end of each shift by promoting safety, following procedures, and keeping spirits high. He says, "A successful shift is when no one gets hurt and everyone returns home the same way they came in." To balance family life with his demanding role, Felton plans activities around his vacation days and unwinds with a little gaming after a long shift. Being a shift superintendent is no easy feat -- it's a role filled with responsibility, resilience, and even a few gray hairs (Felton's words)! But, it's all worth it to keep our teams safe! Thank you for all you do, Felton!

  • Turning gratitude into action on this #GivingTuesday. Today, some of our employees volunteered at the Southeast Texas Food Bank. Together, they packaged over 16,000 pounds of food. Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, encouraging people to give back through donations, volunteering, or acts of kindness. Join us in making a difference -- every act of generosity counts!
