Our festive afternoon volunteering with Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids delivered friendship, food and fun as our team rolled up their sleeves to make school lunches for Calgary kids. To add a bit of icing to the sugar cookie, our CEO was excited to present a $10,000 cheque to support the incredible work BB4CK does to ensure no kid goes hungry, not just during the holidays but every day.

From the fields to the refinery and back again, Delano Pellizzari smiles when he thinks about how his two worlds are colliding. Delano is a 21-year veteran of Imperial, but his hard work didn't start here. As a child, Delano spent countless hours working with his father in the golden canola fields of Maidstone, Saskatchewan. Today, his role as a Process Planning Supervisor for Turnarounds at our Strathcona refinery affords him the opportunity to watch the newest unit going up on site - a renewable diesel facility that will use feedstock originating from local farms, just like the one he grew up on. “This facility will provide another place for the locally grown canola to go and that helps to give farmers more certainty with a secure domestic market -- and that’s always important. For farmers in this region, as well as Imperial employees, this facility is an exciting development.”
