Why Staff Training Should Be a Continuous Effort, Not a One-Time Event 🧑🍳 Restaurants that invest in ongoing staff training see the benefits in better service, smoother operations, and happier customers. Here’s why training shouldn’t stop after onboarding: Keeps Skills Sharp: Refresher courses help staff stay efficient and up-to-date with best practices. Adapts to New Trends: The restaurant industry is always evolving. Regular training keeps your team ahead of the curve. Boosts Morale: Employees who feel valued and well-trained are more confident and motivated. Reduces Turnover: Investing in training shows staff they have growth opportunities, which helps with retention. Continuous training is an investment in your team and your brand’s future. How do you keep training part of your restaurant’s culture? #StaffTraining #RestaurantManagement #EmployeeDevelopment #Retention #CustomerExperience

What are the costs of not properly training our restaurant teams? As any restaurateur will tell you, training staff correctly is ESSENTIAL to the success of your restaurant. Onboarding and training are priority #1 for new hires. We spend weeks onboarding and then spend multiple months continuing to train our teams so they know how to do things accurately according to our mission and programs. When we fall short of our standards, we see it in guest feedback, employee morale, and controllable costs. When training doesn’t happen well, the losses add up - think about it - the cost of refunded orders, of making a dish incorrectly and having to make it again, of giving the wrong order to the wrong delivery driver, and ultimately, of guests not returning. My advice to anyone beginning their journey in the restaurant industry/as a restaurateur: INVEST IN TRAINING. My advice to myself, STOP FALLING SHORT OF WHAT I KNOW CREATES VALUE. #training #restaurantindustry #creatingvalue #trainingstaff #companystandards

Interested in how hospitality businesses are investing their training dollars? The newly released Part 2 of our report gives benchmarking data and current trends on training costs and budget, new hire and ongoing training hours, and content priorities. Download it today to take a look at these insights! #CHARTtrainers
Thrilled to share insights from Part 2 of our Hospitality Training 360 Report. This comprehensive study underscores the shift from training being merely an expense to recognizing it as a strategic investment. As we navigate a landscape marked by a younger, less experienced workforce and higher turnover rates, redefining training from a cost center to a revenue-enhancing asset is critical. 📊 Some areas I found interesting.... + Training Budgets: Training budgets top $1,000 across all roles. Up to $6,000 for managers. a robust commitment to training across all levels. That means a single McDonald's location can expect to pay $15,000-$25,000 per year for training. Lots of opportunity to save here and gain efficiency here :) + Significant Increases in Training Hours: Post-pandemic, new hire training hours have surged by up to 63% for unit-level managers. + Ongoing Training Uptick: Hours for ongoing training have risen more than 125%. BOH training is up 242% + Enhanced Productivity: More training hours lead to better-skilled employees who can start contributing sooner = speeds up onboarding too #HospitalityIndustry #EmployeeTraining #BusinessGrowth #Innovation #CustomerSatisfaction #HospitalityTraining https://lnkd.in/eAeuJ43J
