Co-founder & co-CEO @Chili Piper 🔥 Here I talk about lessons I learned to jumpstart my career from intern to SVP. And to grow a company from 0 to almost $1Bn

Losses and wins for 2024 for me and Chili Piper. Here’s my recap 👇 Personal Losses: 🔳 I realized that building in public has me overanalyze everything to a fault. Now I know why athletes and musicians collapse at their peak. The pressure is very hard to handle. Slowly learning to get more comfortable Marketing Losses: 🔳 Marketing Pipeline attainment: 80% of goal for the year after recalibration  🔳 We still don’t have enough awareness for our Distro (competes with LeanData) and Chat (competes with Qualified/Drift) products, lots of work to do on our messaging Company Losses:  🔳 Growth was slow. Mainly because we’re in the midst of transitioning our entire base from our classic product to the new platform and that proves to be a lot more difficult than we thought (we only managed to migrate 30% of our base to date)  🔳Our ACV while growing is still very SMALL and that drives me bananas. Increasing it is my mission for next year Personal Wins  🔳 After 2 years of acting CMO I finally feel I grasp what it takes to do this role well. Thank you everyone who had patience with all my questions. Especially my team and the community at Pavilion Marketing Wins 🔳 We got REALLY good at operating efficiently. We booked 1400 sales qualified meetings this year with two marketers  🔳 We have 500 + partners in our ecosystem (channel and product partners) Alexis Petrichos Anthony Kapitanski are crushing this channel generating six figure revenue and low CAC Company Wins  🔳 Cash break even with lots of cash in the bank. This allows me to go to sleep at night  🔳 Our entire operations team is building ai agents for everything. We saved hundreds of hours in labor and becoming super efficient. The reasons why our prices are so low 🔳 We’re getting good at cross-sell. Most customers use 2 products or more Very excited about 2025 because I will finally get back to building. That’s where my zone of genius is . Building back in our product all the things we learned to do with ai agents for our team to be efficient and to scale with a nimble team . And allowing marketing teams to be as efficient in their operations as ours is I am calling my new build project AMO (agentic marketing orchestration) and will be posting publicly about my progress here (and for sure I will be asking for feedback and beta testers so stay tuned!)

As I think back on my journey as a marketing leader, one of the key things that directly impacted my success was the network of people I relied on for advice, inspiration and support.   In my case, Pavilion was one place I found my tribe.   People like Sam Jacobs, Sasha Krecinic, and Max Altschuler have helped shape my thinking about marketing, served as a sounding board, and been there to listen when I've had both professional and personal challenges.    More recently, as I've reached a different stage in my career, Pavilion has become about giving back to the community and helping other marketers who are earlier in their career journeys.    Whether it's the class I teach in Pavilion's CMO School or the opportunity to share unfiltered accounts of my experiences as a marketing leader at events like CMO Summit or GTM2025, I've found tremendous personal fulfilment in supporting the next generation of CMOs.    Building a successful career as a go to market executive is hard, and no one should have to go it alone.    If you want to join Pavilion, use my personal code UDILEDERGO50 to get 15 months for the price of 12 PLUS an extra 10% off and $50 to donate to the charity of your choice (this is only good through the end of the year).   Link in the comments to join.

Think tanks are worth the time and money if you are willing to put in the effort and give. Years ago, my friend Jessica Michael calls me up and says, "You have to join this think tank I'm in called Revenue Collective [now Pavilion]." I've been in Pavilion now for 4 years and it was a great decision. It's not just the classes and networking - it's the thought partners (shout out to Andy Jolls, Joelle Gropper Kaufman, Nick Bhavsar, Geoffrey (Geoff) Rodgers, Neil W., Emmy L., and too many more to count). The people you can ping who will make time for you on a moment's notice for you to throw an idea at. It's getting honest, direct answers instead of a "oh that's great" (which, let's face it, is not a critique and rather useless.) I've found it invaluable. And if you're thinking about joining a think tank, I couldn't recommend it more. Below is a code to make your decision even easier. Your referral code: 1SHIRAABEL83 Link to join:
