Leading by example here in Suffolk 💪 We were delighted to be invited along to the Ipswich Business Leaders Lunch yesterday as their wine sponsor (making us the popular ones in the room!). A few takeaways from the day: 🧐 At Suffolk Supply Chain, we're constantly finding ways in which our #localbusiness #community can continue to thrive through the #socialvalue that they can offer to new developments in our region. For anyone that is yet to register, head to https://lnkd.in/ehu8U8my 👥️ Claire Staddon from Emmaus Suffolk reminded us that, instead of doing a day's volunteering, let's think about ways in which your business can help provide your in house services to charities, which would traditionally hit their bottom line. Could you donate your time a few days a month on a regular basis to deliver HR support/Legal services/Waste management etc? 🍻 #Collaboration is key - this was the message from Jenny Hanlon at Adnams, who gave us an inspiring talk about the culture change she's making in her new role as CEO. As the first female CEO in Adnams' 150 year history, Jenny's enthusiasm shines through when she talks about the impact that collaborative working can have in your business. And maybe how we should all spend some regular time 'walking the walk' to really understand our businesses. Thank you so much to Black Fox Finance, Barclays, MAD-HR Ltd, Pure Resourcing Solutions, Larking Gowen and Ashtons Legal LLP for organising such a fantastic event 👏 Justin Nevison-Grainger | Richard Pearce | Kerry-Anne R. | Carole Burman, FCIPD Suffolk Chamber of Commerce | Suffolk County Council #supplychain #suffolksupplychain #networking #event #businessleaders #Ipswich #Suffolk #localbusiness #opportunity #success

Christmas cheer all round 🎄 Today's highlight has been attending the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce Christmas Networking Lunch at the fabulous Ravenwood Hall Hotel & Restaurant. The Suffolk Supply Chain team enjoyed a delicious lunch, some competitive quizzing thanks to GenX Radio Suffolk, and some good ol' Networking with the West Suffolk Business #community, all expertly chaired by our fantastic host Matt M. 👏 Thanks to all involved, and particular thanks for the company on our table of 'Ho-Ho-Hopefuls' 🎅 Suffolk Chamber of Commerce | Suffolk County Council #Networking #businesssupport #suffolkbusiness #event #supplychain #suffolksupplychain #connections #community #engagement #businessdevelopment

Collaboration is key 🔑 As we wrap up another busy week we wanted to share some of the highlights of things the team has been up to 👀 We had a good catch up with our friends at Longfields Circle on Monday, putting plans in place to collaborate on some exciting stuff for 2025 👏 Tuesday was spent in Lowestoft at OrbisEnergy with the EastWind Cluster. Ashley Shorey-Mills spent the morning leading the Supply Chain workstream group, and then a quick change in the afternoon meant that Emma Alderton was able to hear from a range of guest speakers about the opportunities that Allocation Round 6 will bring to the local business community. Thanks to Denise Hone, Jess Asato MP, Johnathan Reynolds, Duncan Ayling, Emma Toulson, Michael Somerville, Andrew Harston, Jenna Perry and Luke Clark for some great updates and keynotes. Finally, it really was a group effort on Wednesday with the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce Supply Chain team splitting up to spend the day supporting both Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce at #CambsB2B, and Essex Chambers of Commerce & Industry at the #FoBusiness. Overall, it's been great to spend the week spreading the word about the work that we're doing to promote opportunities in the region through both the Suffolk Supply Chain and the Sizewell C Supply Chain 🔗 Suffolk Supply Chain | Suffolk Chamber of Commerce | Suffolk County Council #collaboration #supplychain #opportunities #community #businesssupport #localbusiness #supplychainoperations #supplychaininnovation #suffolksupplychain #Suffolk #suffolkbusiness #exhibition #networking #event
