Today we attended the 3rd of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce Christmas Networking Lunches with Neil Whiteside delivering the quiz. An excellent event hosted at The Hotel Victoria in Lowestoft. Gen X Radio Suffolk is the brainchild of James Hazell, who has been serving the listeners of East Anglia for over 35 years. In that time, Suffolk has seen a dramatic demise of local commercial radio. Suffolk was one of the first to launch local radio in 1975 with Radio Orwell and we now have no commercial stations broadcasting from here. This not only presents a huge reduction in listener choice but financially prohibits small to medium sized businesses from the proven benefits of radio advertising. The mission of James and his team is to bring genuine and affordable local radio back to Suffolk. The station will be a lively entertaining mix of chat, news and debate, laced with the brilliant music of the last sixty years. And, of course, we’ll have plenty of fun. The radio station is a proud advocate of Suffolk. We support those who are making a positive difference to Suffolk life and we challenge those in a position to affect our county. We forge relationships with the county’s listeners and businesses alike and provide a trusted friend and an engaging and entertaining platform for all. Great event, always a pleasure to be a part of it.
And that’s a wrap…🎁 This afternoon we delivered our final Suffolk Chamber of Commerce Christmas Networking Lunch which brought businesses together over a fun, festive Christmas quiz and lunch 🎄 It also marked the end of our 2024 events programme which made me reflect on how much we have achieved this year… From Safari Networking and Speaker Led events to Rooftop Garden Party and Prestige Dinner, none of which would be possible without the huge support from businesses across Suffolk and those who attend our events.
