#Pegatron5G VP David Hoelscher participated in the Next Generation Communication Forum Taipei Computer Association 台北市電腦商業同業公會(TCA) to discuss the evolving #OpenRAN market. Key topics included challenges in CU+DU+RU integration, cost pressures, market entry barriers, and talent shortages.   Hoelscher emphasized that the shift towards open #telecom equipment and core networks is inevitable. He highlighted that O-RAN offers Taiwanese companies an opportunity to leverage their strengths, innovate in telecom units, and expand into global markets.

We have announced a milestone in #5G technology with LitePoint by showcasing the PR-1450 radio unit’s support for the advanced features of #3GPP Release 17. We were honored to host delegates from the Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA) at our 5G-enabled smart manufacturing facility in Taoyuan, Taiwan.   Since its establishment less than a year ago, #MODA has been instrumental in driving Taiwan's 5G industry forward. In 2023, they issued the "Regulations Governing the Establishment and Use of Mobile Broadband Dedicated Telecommunications Networks", providing enterprises with lower annual #spectrum usage fees to encourage investment in 5G deployment.   With support from private sector contributions and various organizations, Taiwan’s manufacturers are advancing #5GORAN solutions across diverse industries.
