Together with the National Highways Lean team, the A46 Coventry Junctions, Walsgrave integrated project team has been learning new skills. Facilitated by the Bourton Group LLP we have, over the last year, undertaken training in a robust decision making process called Choosing By Advantages. The Choosing by Advantages (CBA) approach in its modern form was developed by Jim Suhr and described in his book Choosing by Advantages (Greenwood 1999). CBA is an approach that enables organisations, project teams and individuals to make more effective choices using an open, transparent and auditable process. Today we had the opportunity to put this into practice and make a real live project decision. This decision will define a methodology that will now need to be incorporated into our detailed design. Making this decision as early as we have will give us time to work with our supply chain, design partners and stakeholders to consider the intricacies before we start the detailed design. Beyond move-in, we'll set our sights on Phase 2: "Homes for Good is in the process of procuring the 20 Manufactured/Modular homes and once purchased will be working closely with OHCS, Lane County, and assigned case managers to work with individuals and families that were displaced by the Holiday Farm Fire to connect them to this housing opportunity. The project will address inequitable access to high quality housing in low-income rural communities and community revitalization post disaster."

Heads up for those in Flemington! GDOT will be activating a new signalized intersection this Wednesday (August 7th) at the intersection of US 84 and Old Sunbury Road in Liberty County. This signal is among the final elements of the Department’s operational improvement project which encompasses the realignment of Old Sunbury Road and Old Hines Road and US 84 turn lanes. This $5.6 million project at Flemington Curve will enhance safety and improve mobility at this busy intersection. **Drivers are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through the area.
