Nevomo, a #Poland-based company specialising in magnetic rail technology, is launching a pilot project in cooperation with rail operator Captrain Deutschland-Group and steel company ArcelorMittal Bremen. “The aim is to introduce the world’s first fully automated freight wagon transport system using existing vehicles and rail infrastructure. Some big moves have been happening at our Europa Terminal lately! Over the past months, a lot of effort went into the assembly and erection of six shiny new automatic stacking cranes. 🤩🏗️ Discover in our video below how various parts arrived by ship and barge, which were then put together on the construction site just like a puzzle! After assembling those parts, it was time for 'le moment suprême': the frame erection of the ASCs. 🔝😮 The six fully erected cranes mark an important milestone for Project Emerald. This large-scale transformation project of our terminal will future-proof our operations and service levels while simultaneously improving the safety of our people and meeting our customers' increasing demand for mega-vessel capacity . 🚢👷 💡 Did you know... an ASC can stack up to six containers high?
