For the fourth year in a row, we celebrated “truck driver’s day" by FEBETRA, Transport en Logistiek Vlaanderen and UPTR! 📣 PSA Antwerp and Combinant nv join forces to enhance hinterland connectivity. 🤝🚀   Today, PSA Antwerp and Combinant signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to optimize the connectivity between PSA’s Deepsea Terminals and the Combinant Rail Terminal in the Port of Antwerp. The goal? To facilitate a modal shift from road to rail and enhance maritime intermodal rail solutions in Antwerp. The newly established trucking service will connect PSA's two deepsea terminals on the right bank of the river Scheldt (Noordzee and Europa Terminal) with the Combinant rail terminal in the north of the Port of Antwerp. 🛣️🚆   Through Hupac Group’s Combinant-Duisburg rail link, the recently opened DGT - Duisburg Gateway Terminal in Germany is now also seamlessly connected. Our PSA Noordzee Terminal welcomed the brand new Hapag-Lloyd AG Hamburg Express last weekend. 🤩 It’s the largest container ship ever to sail under the German flag 🇩🇪 with a staggering 23,660 TEU capacity! 😮 Just before it’s arrival in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, the ship had a momentous ceremony in the city of Hamburg after which the vessel was named. It was truly remarkable that the Hamburg Express still had the ‘orange wall’ of containers all the way around during the arrival at our Noordzee Terminal. 🚢🧡 The vessel is part of Hapag-Lloyd’s next-generation fleet built to enhance efficiency and reduce emissions. Introducing the digital A-check at our PSA Noordzee and Europa Terminal, a significant step in our ongoing efforts to enhance the safety and efficiency for truck drivers visiting our terminal. 🚛   The latest version of our OptiTruck app now enables drivers to complete the entire administrative process, also known as A-check, digitally. A new way to optimize and simplify truck drivers' experiences during their terminal visits. 📲   The integration of the A-check into the OptiTruck app emphasizes our ongoing commitment to digitalisation. Last week, we proudly exhibited our Hinterland Connectivity products at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges Intermodal Marketplace in Zeebrugge for the first time. More than 350 attendees had the opportunity to take a train tour visiting key terminals, including our very own PSA Zeebrugge terminal! In the afternoon, 500 attendees gathered in the magnificent city of Bruges where they were inspired by our intermodal offering among 60 exhibitors. 🚆🤩   After the successful launch of DGT - Duisburg Gateway Terminal in early September and the increasing connectivity, we’re now positioned to offer an extensive network of rail hinterland destinations to and from Europe’s largest gateway terminal. We recently welcomed some truly impressive parts by Gosselin Logistics, ordered by INEOS BELGIUM #ProjectONE, at PSA Breakbulk. Take a look at the C3 Splitter which is no less than 93m long and weighs a mind-boggling 589T! 🤯💪   Along with the wash tower, gas dryers and water tower, all units were also safely discharged on our terminal.
