Embracing Diversity to Cultivate Diversity of Thought : Today, one of our CEOs & Co-founder Megan Morass shared an inspiring campaign highlighting World Down Syndrome Day. It served as a powerful reminder of the importance of diversity in our workplaces, not just in terms of ethnicity or gender, but in embracing all forms of neurodiversity and abilities. Creating a diverse team is not just about ticking boxes; it's about breaking the mould around hiring practices and embracing the unique perspectives and talents that each individual brings to the table. By challenging our everyday unconscious biases, we can pave the way for a more inclusive and successful workplace. Diversity of thought is a game changer. It fosters innovation, creativity, and resilience. It allows us to approach challenges from multiple angles and come up with more holistic solutions. I can vouch that Full Fat Agency appreciates the creative minds of neurodiversity. I have AuDHD, which means I fall within the spectrum of both Autism and ADHD. When I first found this out it was such a relief but also terrifying. I thought "Who will hire me now?", "How can I explain this to the workplace without them only seeing the negatives?". One of the key points that was mentioned in a Neurodiversity Week webinar was that you should find out your team's strengths and play to them. I'm lucky that despite my role being People & Office Manager, I get invited to creative brainstorms. Being creative is second nature to me, however, when I chose to solely work as a creative I found myself feeling deflated and unmotivated. Taking part in the Creative brainstorms allows me to feel like that part of me is still alive and kicking. I can see the value I bring to the table and that is the most inspired I have felt at work in a long time. I'd love other companies to invite more people to creative ideation meetings to see how it impacts the result. I'm pleased to announce that at Full Fat, we wholeheartedly embrace an inclusive ethos, welcoming people from all backgrounds, neurodiversities and disabilities. Is this as amazing as it is scary?… With every new technological advancement in efficiency, our biggest global brands are leading the way. Innovation and foresight should be strategically prioritized in every department for optimal financial growth. McDonald's under the right leadership 🍻🏆 Michelle and Benjamin are an example. 💡How the next generations education adapts to the needed expertise, and how that effects the employment of the current unskilled workforce- is a different topic… I believe more brands should be allocating budget and workhours to upskilling its employees. Not only to maximize their output (the short term efficiency loss during the education process, will be surpassed by the long term gains in efficiency) but to also provide job security- as future generations will likely make the current aging workforce obsolete in most white collar sectors. Leading to mass layoffs and unemployment from those that are traditionally in the middle class. Considering most business do not adapt quickly or prioritize education / have the resources to allocate funds and time. My general outlook on the job market is bearish. That is why I am continuously impressed and proud to work for a company that is embracing innovation and educating its team accordingly.
