Our inaugural #PPPinternship programme brought together a group of talented students eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the future of the Singapore Public Service. ❤️🔥 Designed around #People, #Purpose, and #Possibilities, this programme aimed to let our interns grow and learn while contributing meaningfully. ❤️ People – Focusing on Growth: From career coaching sessions to competency chats with their supervisors, we provided opportunities for our interns to discover their potential and concretise their learning in PSD! 📈 ❤️ Purpose – Connecting to Impact: Through curated projects, mentoring from senior leaders, and involvement in organisational initiatives, interns were immersed in work that ✨truly matters✨. ❤️ Possibilities – Exploring the Future: We are not afraid to let our interns contribute their fresh ideas to PSD’s next-bound projects! 🚀 Innovating for Singapore: Public Sector Transformation (PST) Ideasfest 2.0 PSD recently collaborated with Ministry of Social and Family Development, Singapore (MSF) and Ministry of Trade and Industry (Singapore) to host the second edition of PST Ideasfest, which showcases over 60 innovative projects from across the public sector. These initiatives demonstrate our commitment to fostering innovation and driving transformation in the Public Service. By empowering our officers to think creatively and implement novel solutions, we're enhancing our ability to serve Singaporeans effectively. At PSD, we believe that innovation is key to building a future-ready public service. In 2022, the Public Service Division (ServiceSG) and GovTech Singapore joined forces to create the Whole-of-Government Appeal System, a single digital government gateway streamlining the process for appeals made by residents through their MPs to public agencies. This was a labour of love and would not have been possible without the collaboration of over 80 government agencies. The result? ⭐️Appeals can now be processed more effectively as the system highlights more clearly the key information required before the appeal is routed to agencies. ⭐️Agencies can better track the appeals they receive across different channels. ⭐️ MPs who appeal on their residents’ behalf can route appeals to multiple agencies concurrently, to address the complex issues faced by residents. The WOG Appeal System was developed as part of the Public Service’s continual efforts to improve service delivery and serve citizens better as One Public Service.   Pictured 📸: Meet some of faces behind the WOG Appeal System!
