Thai Union Group has announced that Bryan Rosenberg has decided to step down as CEO of its Thai Union North America (TUNA) region, effective January 1, 2025. Rosenberg will remain with the company as Executive Director and Founder, supporting the frozen business by managing key customer relationships, coaching and mentoring its leadership team, and supporting Thai Union’s strategic interests in the North American market. Rosenberg co-founded Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods (COSFF) with Thai Union in 2006. In 2020, he assumed leadership of Chicken of the Sea International (COSI), when he became President & CEO of TUNA. Dan Halford, COSFF’s SVP of Operations, has been appointed as its new President. Dan will report to Rittirong Boonmechote, President, Thai Union Group, Frozen Business. Earlier this year, Andy Mecs was appointed as President, COSI. “It has been our intent for some time to transition the leadership in North America,” said Rosenberg. “I remain fully committed to the long-term success of the business and have complete confidence in Andy, Dan, and their respective leadership teams to drive the next phase of each company’s growth.” Under Rosenberg’s leadership, COSFF grew to be the top importer of shrimp and crab meat in the U.S. “I want to thank Bryan for his leadership, partnership, and tenacious spirit in building COSFF to be one of the premier seafood importers in the U.S.” said Thiraphong Chansiri, CEO of Thai Union Group. “He has worked tirelessly and been a key contributor to our success, most recently guiding COSI to the path of sustainable performance. I am grateful that he remains committed to our organization, working with us on key strategic issues in the North American market.” Rosenberg added, “I’m extremely proud of our accomplishments during my leadership tenure with Thai Union and would like to thank the executive team for the confidence they have always placed in me. Like many others, I’ve spent my entire career in the seafood industry and plan on remaining connected to it for many years to come as part of this next phase of my career.” In addition to his role at Thai Union, Rosenberg has served on the National Fisheries Institute’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors, and the Seafood Task Force Board of Directors.
Congratulations to Bryan Rosenberg on a very successful tenure as President and CEO of Thai Union North America. We operate in such a turbulent industry, nevertheless, Bryan built an impressive and enviable business with COSFF and guided the team to some spectacular, record-breaking results over the years. Most importantly to me, Bryan is responsible for leading COSI during some transitional years and helping us to lay the foundation for the success that we are enjoying today. Bryan is uniquely qualified in many ways with his strategic intellect and his ability to connect with every person he meets. I am very grateful for Bryan’s leadership and unwavering support. Congratulations, Bryan! Thank you so much and all the best as you move into the next phase of your life and career.
Congratulations and best of luck on your next adventure
