We had a great time advocating for our patients as part of the National Association of Community Health Centers day of action in D.C. Thank you to the offices of Representative Barragan, Representative Ted Lieu and Representative Kamlager Dove for discussing with us the importance of sustainable and long-term funding for community health centers.

Venice Family Clinic’s street medicine team shone brightly at the West Side Coalition’s annual Celebrating Success Breakfast. This annual event honors the impactful contributions of our field staff and celebrated the journeys of the people we serve. This year, we nominated Peter Miller, a volunteer whose dedication has been pivotal in expanding our outreach efforts, and Mitchie, a young woman who connected with the Clinic through Safe Place for Youth. With support from Carrie Kowalski, PA-C, Mitchie has stabilized her health, has successfully transitioned into permanent housing, and is pursuing her dream of working as a performer. The event was a fantastic opportunity to reinforce our commitment to providing compassionate care for everyone, regardless of their circumstances. Congratulations to our honorees!
