Up Campus Student Living has purchased the Boathouse apartment building near the Watergate complex in Washington, D.C., for $68 million from Urban Investment Partners. In partnership with Palmor Capital, BridgeInvest, and Sabal Investment Holdings, the new ownership plans to rebrand and upgrade the building to cater to students, faculty, and staff of nearby The George Washington University. The 250-unit building, originally a Howard Johnson hotel involved in the Watergate scandal, will feature enhanced amenities and student-focused enhancements.
