About us
Powering the future of work, one mom at a time. When moms win, we all win. At The Mom Project, we believe in the power of mom. Diverse. Talented. Committed. Moms are a force–a workforce. And their moment is now. We're creating a future of work that works for everyone. Smart companies know the truth: That moms take care of business and beyond. That no two careers look the same. That parenting skills sharpen business skills. We know that when mom thrives, families thrive, business thrives, society thrives...and things change for the better.

🚀 Ready to relaunch your legal career after a break? Whether you’ve been away for a few months or years, remember that your time away as a caregiver has helped you build valuable skills like empathy, time management, and adaptability—skills that are transferable to your legal journey. Our tips to getting started: ☕ Networking is key! It doesn’t always have to be a formal event—chat with people at school pick-ups, or volunteering. 70% of people land their next job through networking, so take the leap and reconnect with old colleagues or reach out to new faces in your desired field. You never know where that next conversation could take you! ✔️ Whether it was paid or unpaid, the experience you gained counts! Tailor your resume to the job you want and highlight your transferable skills. And don’t forget your elevator pitch—keep it short, sweet, and focused on how you add value. 💪 Don’t underestimate the power of soft skills! Companies are looking for emotional intelligence, leadership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. These qualities make you incredibly valuable in any legal role. 1/3 of women leave their job within 18 months of having a child. But only 4% leave the workforce. The majority of them go to *a different company* Companies lose real time and money by not retaining moms. So I asked *you* what matters to you in how companies support parents after pregnancy. Here’s what I heard: 🤗 Culture - Companies have it woven into their DNA to “make the working world more kind”. They choose to say “we’ve got your back and support you. Take the time you need.”. 📣 Voice - Parents have a strong voice through ERGs with access to leadership 👩💼 Leadership - That understands and advocates for caregiving 🕜 Flexible working hours - That let employees do their best work on their time 💻 Remote work - Trusting employees do work remotely 🚸 Robust childcare support - Stipends, help finding care, and backup care 📈 Ramping up - To find a new rhythm and re-acclimate to everything going on at work 👥 Coaching, training - For employees and for managers 😷 Sick days - For when the employee or child are sick These things are make or break for retaining moms in the workforce. Companies that are intentional about supporting moms will see the benefits. — I’m Ashley Chang, co-founder of Sundays, an executive assistant service for working parents. We help parents get focused time back at work and quality time back with family.
