The sounds of music are about to get a little louder in Nashville. We are proud to have contributed to the Nashville Chopin Organization's Piano Rainbow Program, which places pianos in schools and community centers located in under-resourced areas across the city. The program also provides mentorship, artistic guidance, and educational materials for students to participate in decorating and using the donated pianos. It delights us to see the artistic creativity students brought to this piano, which will empower students to celebrate the cultural diversity of Music City through music education. Here's what our Founder and CEO, Tim Downey, commented about the program: “It is a true joy to support the Piano Rainbow Initiative and help empower students to reach their musical potential right here in Music City. The placement of pianos in schools, coupled with the program’s emphasis on mentorship and instruction, is sure to have a lasting impact. I applaud The Nashville Chopin Organization for its dedication to music education and for extending creative opportunities for others to get involved.”

We would like to congratulate Jeremy Moss, Senior Owner's Representative for our West Region, who celebrates 5 years with Southern Land Company this month. Jeremy's dedication to quality, adept problem solving skills, and leadership in managing complex construction projects have been critical to the development of our multifamily and mixed-use projects in Las Vegas and Denver. Truly enjoyed connecting with an impressive group of speakers and attendees in Miami on behalf of Southern Land Company for the #Elevate2024 conference, expertly curated by my friends at Zonda. Ali Wolf shared keen insights on the national housing outlook and macro & micro economic indicators and trends shaping the current business environment. Daniel André Langer shared his concept on the 4 E’s of luxury brand storytelling, a fascinating twist on the classic 4 P’s Paradigm of Marketing (product, price, place, and promotion) we’re taught in school. Pouyan Safapour of Devron Developments expounded on the need for building design to include both order and complexity to mirror the hand of mother nature and achieve sustainable quality design that is built for humans. I loved his goal of building the “heritage buildings” of the future. There were many other captivating presentations too numerous to mention, culminating in a visit to Miami’s Design District to view the cutting edge in luxury finishes available to luxury developers. Met a number of great people on this trip. Finally, on that note, a special shout out and thank you to host Tim Sullivan and his amazing wife Donielle Sullivan for their warm welcome and lovely conversation. The holiday season has officially commenced! Westerly, our 800-acre master-planned community in Erie, Colorado, hosted its inaugural Christmas Tree lighting on Monday. Homeowners, as well as members of the greater Erie community, congregated at The Waypoint, Westerly's state-of-the-art amenity center, to witness the official lighting of the 46-foot-tall holiday tree by honorary tree lighters Cheri and Eric King, the community's 100th homeowners.
