This afternoon, the United to House LA (ULA) permanent program guidelines and FY24/25 Expenditure Plan were unanimously passed by the LA City Council! The LAHD team created the ULA permanent program guidelines in partnership with the Citizen Oversight Committee (COC) with the vision of ending homelessness and making housing affordable in LA. These guidelines will drive the development and ownership of affordable housing in the City forever, and are visioned to include tenant leadership, participation and potential ownership - with all work completed by union workers with career path jobs. While affordable homes are being created and preserved, these guidelines will also stem the tide of homelessness by providing income assistance, providing tenant education, providing protections from harassment, and providing legal services to prevent eviction. 📈 Learn more about ULA’s progress in tackling homelessness and housing insecurity at https://lnkd.in/gbfCkT9m.
