"I left an overpaid, underworked executive job," GLG expert Adam Nemer told us. The reason? Adam wanted to change how companies address mental health in the workplace. Launching Simple Mental Health was personal for him. Through workshops and coaching, the organization is making leaders rethink workplace wellness and mental health support to improve retention, performance, and engagement. "We would not be here if it weren't for GLG," he said. "You guys have funded me." Adam credits expert calls for the additional income that keeps Simple Mental Health afloat. More so, they provide stimulating conversations and a brief respite from the daily demands of running a startup.

GLG New York welcomed four artificial intelligence experts for a series of live, candid roundtables and a panel discussion on the future of AI, politics, business, and society. Speakers included: - Tom Wheeler, former FCC Chairman - William Fong, former Director of AI Digital Transformation at Microsoft - Jeanne Williams, former Chief of Staff for the Head of AI/ML at Apple - Michael Gleeson, former President of PulseData The conversation covered all things #AI, including artificial general intelligence (i.e., when a machine can do almost anything the human brain can), large-scale enterprise adoption, personalized medicine, and key regulatory dynamics. We’ll soon enter a world where you cannot live without AI, William predicted. It’s never the primary technology that’s transformational, the former FCC Chairman said, it’s always the secondary effects – and how you deal with them. He went on to explain why it's “nearly impossible” to self-regulate in the AI space, a potential flashpoint with the incoming administration’s focus on deregulation. GLG Chief Product Officer John Londono moderated the discussion, alongside Senior Director of Content Andrew Rottas. Clients and employees had the opportunity to connect and continue the conversation with the speakers in the atrium following the formal panel discussion. Thank you, as always, to our experts for your insights, and to everyone who helped put together such a timely and informative event.

    GLG Korea Managing Director

Six years ago, I was approached to be a GLG expert. Six weeks ago, I joined GLG full-time as Head of Korea in their Seoul office. Through the years, I’ve completed dozens of phone consults for GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group), seeing firsthand the dedication of GLG’s teams and scale of its client base. I recognized how critical the company could be in providing leaders confidence in their decision making across markets and industries. When you combine exceptional client service and the world’s best experts, GLG’s opportunity in the region cannot be overstated. Under the leadership of Gemma Postlethwaite and Rama Adaikalavan, along with Sam McBride-Wright, D.Phil., Jennifer Lucia Manning, and Alison Kearney Davis, it’s clear the company is well on its way. I jumped at the chance to build on GLG’s growing global brand. A trusted market leader with a clear competitive advantage across APAC and beyond. To the dozens GLGers I’ve met already, thank you for being so welcoming. I expected nothing less. In the weeks ahead, I hope to spend time with every member of the Korea office, while getting to know more of GLG’s key partners in the region. It’s such exciting time for the business, and I can’t wait to get started.

GLG's Malaysia office has grown 5x since opening its doors in May 2023. 📈 A fast-growing hub, attracting multibillion-dollar investments from multinational companies, Kuala Lumpur is an ideal location for GLG, putting us closer to key clients and experts in the region. 🌏 Malaysia became GLG's 11th office in APAC last year. 🏢 #LifeatGLG

Malaysia is targeting a $100 billion investment for its semiconductor industry, as the country looks to boost its position as a global supply chain leader. GLG Malaysia wanted to know more. At this exclusive event, Atul Shah, a distinguished semiconductor expert in GLG’s network, joined Fergus Clarke, APAC Head of Surveys, for a discussion behind our recent report on the outlook and opportunities for the industry. Andrew Chan Yik Hong, Director of MSIA, welcomed attendees and Karen Soh, Head of Malaysia at GLG, moderated the panel. As Malaysia continues to position itself as a key player in the global semiconductor sector, GLG is proud to support our clients with unparalleled insights, helping them navigate this transformative era with confidence. Personally, it was great to be back in Malaysia with our team, which has grown 5X in less than a year. Thank you to everyone for joining, including representatives from the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI). A big call out to the Malaysia Semiconductor Industry Association for their ongoing support.

GLG opened its doors in New York City back in 1998. More than 25 years later, we’re a global company with people, clients, and experts around the world. And we’re still proud to call the city home.   It was a pleasure to join the Partnership for New York City this week to discuss why we’ve continued to grow our business here.    Thank you to Crain's New York Business for hosting and sponsoring, Kathy Wylde for the invite, Anne Michaud for moderating, and my co-panelists Sean Decatur and Anthony Pompliano for sharing their own New York stories.

Great start to November delivering the keynote at INSEAD's PE and VC conference in Singapore. Thank you to INSEAD for hosting such a great event now in it's 16th year. As an alumni, it was an honor to address the next generation of graduates of the EMBA programme. It was also such a privilege to host GLG clients for a discussion on the shifting dynamics in the semiconductor industry last week, alongside Atul Shah. GLG Head of Surveys Fergus Clarke was joined by Jessie Yang for a discussion on the outlook and impact of this emerging technology across various sectors and the role that SEA plays in manufacturing, assembly, and distribution. Keep an eye out for upcoming events across our offices in APAC.
