  • Thai Union Group has announced that Bryan Rosenberg has decided to step down as CEO of its Thai Union North America (TUNA) region, effective January 1, 2025. Rosenberg will remain with the company as Executive Director and Founder, supporting the frozen business by managing key customer relationships, coaching and mentoring its leadership team, and supporting Thai Union’s strategic interests in the North American market. Rosenberg co-founded Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods (COSFF) with Thai Union in 2006. In 2020, he assumed leadership of Chicken of the Sea International (COSI), when he became President & CEO of TUNA. Dan Halford, COSFF’s SVP of Operations, has been appointed as its new President. Dan will report to Rittirong Boonmechote, President, Thai Union Group, Frozen Business. Earlier this year, Andy Mecs was appointed as President, COSI. “It has been our intent for some time to transition the leadership in North America,” said Rosenberg. “I remain fully committed to the long-term success of the business and have complete confidence in Andy, Dan, and their respective leadership teams to drive the next phase of each company’s growth.” Under Rosenberg’s leadership, COSFF grew to be the top importer of shrimp and crab meat in the U.S. “I want to thank Bryan for his leadership, partnership, and tenacious spirit in building COSFF to be one of the premier seafood importers in the U.S.” said Thiraphong Chansiri, CEO of Thai Union Group. “He has worked tirelessly and been a key contributor to our success, most recently guiding COSI to the path of sustainable performance. I am grateful that he remains committed to our organization, working with us on key strategic issues in the North American market.” Rosenberg added, “I’m extremely proud of our accomplishments during my leadership tenure with Thai Union and would like to thank the executive team for the confidence they have always placed in me. Like many others, I’ve spent my entire career in the seafood industry and plan on remaining connected to it for many years to come as part of this next phase of my career.” In addition to his role at Thai Union, Rosenberg has served on the National Fisheries Institute’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors, and the Seafood Task Force Board of Directors.

  • In honor of Veterans Day, we would like to thank those who have served and continue to serve our nation. Here at Chicken of the Sea, we know that hiring veterans is not just about honoring their service, it’s about recognizing the unique skills and leadership they bring to the workplace. We provide the flexibility and support veterans need to grow their careers while continuing to serve. We also believe in empowering our veterans to achieve their professional goals and contribute to our mission with the same dedication they have shown in their military service.   “I feel very thankful that Chicken of the Sea has always made me feel fully supported in my commitment to the Army from day one. I've never had to worry about balancing both jobs, even when the Army has taken me out of the office for extended periods of time. I often call upon my experience as an Army Logistician working alongside the Supply Chain Team at Chicken of the Sea. Both Chicken of the Sea and the Army are complex global organizations with a lot of moving parts; I take pride in helping them both operate as effective teams.” - First Lieutenant Noah Hantho, a Demand Planning Analyst and Army Logistician.
