204 Avenue A Nears Completion in East Village, Manhattan

Work is wrapping up on 204 Avenue A, a seven-story affordable housing building in the Alphabet City section of Manhattan’s East Village. Designed by Shakespeare Gordon Vlado Architects and developed by New York City’s Housing Preservation and Development, the 69-foot-tall structure will span 14,029 square feet and yield ten co-op apartments with an average scope of 930 square feet, as well as 1,464 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, rooftop recreational space, and a 34-foot-long rear yard. The property is located on a narrow interior lot between East 12th and East 13th Streets.

Excavation Underway At 327 Broome Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side

Excavation is progressing at 327 Broome Street, the site of a six-story residential building in the Bowery section of Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by Kutnicki Bernstein Architects and developed by The Rinaldi Group, the 8,586-square-foot structure will yield five condominium units. BAM Developers is listed as the owner of the property, which is situated on a 25-foot-wide interior lot between Bowery and Grand Street.

A new loan totaling $4 million has been brokered by HKS Real Estate Advisors for the retail component of One Vandam, a 14-story residential building at 180 Sixth Avenue in Soho, Manhattan. Designed by BKSK Architects, the property completed construction in 2014. The loan was issued by Emerald Creek Capital and sponsor is CRE8 Equities.

Demolition Set to Begin at 156-166 Bowery in Nolita, Manhattan

Demolition preparations are underway at 156-166 Bowery, the site of a forthcoming seven-story commercial building in Nolita, Manhattan. Designed by Perkins + Will Architects and developed by Kinsman Property Group, a joint venture between Madison Group and State Building Group, the 85-foot-tall structure will yield 72,441 square feet of office space. The 15,000-square-foot property is currently occupied by seven vacant low-rise buildings by the corner of Bowery and Kenmare Street.

Spring + Thompson’s Façade Takes Shape at 83 Thompson Street in Soho, Manhattan

Exterior work is progressing on Spring + Thompson, a seven-story mixed-use building at 83 Thompson Street in Soho, Manhattan. Designed by Selldorf Architects and developed by Madison Realty Capital and SK Development, the 75-foot-tall structure will span 26,191 square feet and yield seven condominium units in one- to four-bedroom layouts with an average scope of 3,151 square feet, as well as 2,740 square feet of commercial space, 1,390 square feet of community facility space, and a cellar level. The property is alternately addressed as 182-186 Spring Street and is located at the intersection of Thompson and Spring Streets.

RAMSA’s 16 Fifth Avenue Continues Ascent in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

Construction has risen past the halfway mark on 16 Fifth Avenue, a 19-story residential building in Greenwich Village, Manhattan. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and Hill West Architects and developed by Madison Realty Capital, which purchased the 5,255-square-foot plot for $27.5 million in 2015, the 241-foot-tall structure will yield 20 condominium units. The property is located on an interior lot between East 8th and East 9th Streets, just north of Washington Square Park.

New Rendering Revealed For 525 Sixth Avenue in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village

Designed by BKSK Architects and developed by Izaki Group under the 525 6th Ave LLC, the 145-foot-tall structure will span 123,000 square feet and yield 71 condominium units and ground-floor commercial space. The property is alternately addressed as 100-106 West 14th Street and is located at the corner of West 14th Street and Sixth Avenue, just below the border with Chelsea.

Designed by Gerald Caliendo Architects and developed by Manny Ashourzadeh of Romah Management Corporation, the 73-foot-tall structure will span 19,278 square feet and yield 22 rental units with an average scope of 740 square feet, as well as 2,994 square feet of commercial space and a cellar level. The property is located at the corner of East 2nd Street and First Avenue.

New Renderings Revealed For COOKFOX’s 80 Clarkson Street in West Village, Manhattan

New renderings have been revealed for 80 Clarkson Street, a 37- and 45-story two-tower residential complex under construction along the Hudson River waterfront in Manhattan’s West Village. Designed by COOKFOX Architects with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Zeckendorf Development, Atlas Capital Group, and The Baupost Group, the 400- and 450-foot tall buildings will yield around 650,000 square feet of space with over 100 condominium units, nearly 37,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and enclosed parking for 69 vehicles. The 1.3-acre, $1.25 billion development is bound by Clarkson Street to the north, West Houston Street to the south, West Street to the west, and a separate 19-story structure at 570 Washington Street rising on the same city block along Washington Street to the east.

64 University Place Wraps Up Construction in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Argo Real Estate and Bsafal, the 125-foot-tall structure spans 63,000 square feet and yields 28 condominium units, as well as a community facility and ground-floor retail and gallery space. The property is located between East 10th and 11th Streets.
