Excavation is getting underway at 134 Jane Street, the site of an 11-story residential building in Manhattan’s West Village. Designed by BKSK Architects and developed by Aurora Capital Associates, the 120-foot-tall structure will span 105,804 square feet and yield 15 condominium units, as well as 200 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, a cellar level, a 30-foot-long rear yard, and 20 enclosed parking spaces. 134 Jane Street LLC is the owner and Titanium Construction Services Inc. is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Jane and West Streets along the Hudson River waterfront.

Excavation is continuing at 111 Washington Street, the site of a 64-story residential skyscraper in the heart of Manhattan’s Financial District. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Carlisle New York Apartments and Grubb Properties, which closed on a $48 million loan for the project over the summer, the 712-foot-tall structure will yield 326,221 square feet with 462 residential units, 7,000 square feet of commercial space, and a 60-foot-long rear yard. Consigli Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 8 Carlisle Street and located at the corner of Washington and Carlisle Streets.

Work is underway on 118 West 13th Street, a seven-story residential conversion in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village Historic District. Designed by BKSK Architects and developed by Slate Property Group, which acquired the property for $22.85 million and is partnering with private equity firm Avenue Realty Capital, the project will create eight condominium units spread across 34,000 square feet. The structure was originally built in 1931 and formerly served as the 175-room Eugene Lang College dormitory for The New School, once touted as the most expensive college dorm in the United States. The project is located on an interior lot between Sixth and Seventh Avenues.
