Our ‘CG Annual Giveback’ totalled donations of over £35,000 this year to some incredibly worthy causes. We were proud to support Inspire Youth Zone, Wood Street Mission & Queenscourt Hospice all causes that hold a place in the hearts of the CG team. We were also very fortunate & proud to be able to donate £5000 to this incredible young man Patrick, after his recent battle against a brain tumour. Patrick decided he wanted to give the money to a selection of charities close to his heart after they helped him and his family, including Alder Hey Children's Charity, The Brain Tumour Charity, Tom's Trust, Molly Ollys, Larsen's Pride & William's Gift CIO. Patrick popped into to see the team at CG to say thanks to everyone, along with his mate Arthur Turner. It’s been an amazing year for team CG but these days are the best. Happy New Year from all at CG 💙 #WeAreCG #TogetherForPatrick

  • We can’t leave 2024 without giving a big shout out and thanks to our incredible Young Ambassadors. Their passion, dedication, and energy have been truly inspiring, and they’ve played a vital role in raising awareness and supporting our mission. 🌟 Jamie joined us this year and immediately made an impact. From helping with filming videos for our campaigns to offering valuable insights into our social media strategy. Jamie’s creativity and perspective has been crucial in helping us reach more people and share our message. 🏃♀️ Grace took on the challenge of running the Junior Great North Run this year, showing incredible determination and spirit. 🙌 Connor joined our Young Ambassador team. His family’s commitment to supporting children with brain tumours and their families have been a huge asset to Tom’s Trust. 💫 We also welcomed Polly to the team. During International Brain Tumour Awareness week, Polly bravely spoke about her story on BBC Radio Merseyside. Our Young Ambassadors are the heart of our community. Their voices, ideas, and actions have helped us understand where the gaps in provision are and continue to make a huge difference for other children and families facing a brain tumour diagnosis. 💙 To support more young people like Jamie, Grace and Connor, donate today - https://ow.ly/kSwM50U2VAw #2024Reflection

  • One of the most inspiring highlights of 2024 was the incredible Smith and Meeson families 73-mile walk along the Cumbria Way in memory of their beautiful daughter/sister/niece/cousin, Emily. Emily tragically passed away in August 2022, just two weeks after a brain tumour diagnosis. The family’s dedication to walking in Emily’s honour not only paid tribute to her memory but also raised over £4,000 for Tom’s Trust. Their strength reminds us of the power of community and the impact one family can have in the face of tragedy. 💙 Help us continue to make a difference by donating in Emily’s memory or starting your own fundraising challenge - https://ow.ly/BWww50U2Vie #2024Reflection

  • We’ve had a great time putting on events and attending those near our services too. 🚶♀️ We thoroughly enjoyed the Bartlow Three Counties Walk, of which we are a beneficiary. It is always a glorious day and the sun shone brightly this year. 🌟 In a fantastic first for Tom’s Trust, we held a Clay Pigeon Shoot Day at Six Mile Bottom Shoot that raised an amazing £32,000! With 26 teams participating and a thrilling live auction, it was a day to remember! 🍓 We were also one of the chosen charities at Strawberry Fair in Cambridge this year – it was lovely to meet the Cambridge community and tell them more about our work. 🎭 At Liverpool Empire theatre, we collected after the Drifters’ performances. 🙌 & we are so lucky to have the support of many volunteer groups in our communities – from footballing legends at Melbourn Dynamos, to the Freemasons of Cambridge, and the amazing sounds of SingMeMersey at Liverpool train station. Every collection, every donation, makes a huge difference to our work. 💙 We hope to see you at one of our events in 2025, or if you would like to organise your own, do get in touch and we can support you! #2024Reflection

  • A big thank you to the corporate partners who have joined us this year. Their support has been key in helping us expand our services and reach more families facing a child's brain tumour diagnosis. 🔹In March, PE made an incredible donation to Tom’s Trust. They have also been instrumental in helping us produce videos with our Young Ambassadors this year. 🔹In July, a team of 10, from Turners (Soham) Ltd, hiked up Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa). As if that wasn’t enough – the following morning the team headed to Penrhyn Quarry to take on the fastest zip wire in the world reaching speeds of over 100mph! 🔹Cielo Costa threw themselves behind our Go Grey in May campaign, turning their social media and online meetings Grey. 🔹We can’t forget Tom's Trunks! They’ve always been a strong supporter of Tom’s Trust and we are incredibly grateful to them for their unwavering support. 🔹Innovation Broking have organised Business Breakfasts in aid of Tom’s Trust – the perfect opportunity to talk business and meet other organisations – let us know if you’d like to join! 🔹We have been Rutland Vineyard’s Charity of the Year this year – their support has been incredible and they've involved all their customers in their fundraising. We are always looking for new corporate partners to join Team Tom. Making Tom’s Trust one of your chosen charities for 2025 means you’ll be directly helping children and families navigate life after a brain tumour diagnosis. We are thrilled to announce that we’ve been chosen as the Charity of the Year by the prestigious Cambridge Business and Professional Club (CBPC)! 💙 This incredible partnership was celebrated on 6 December at the Club’s annual luncheon, held at the beautiful Queen’s College, Cambridge. With over 140 members from across the local business community, CBPC has been a vital part of Cambridge’s professional network since 1950. Thanks to the generosity of CBPC members, an amazing £1,600 was raised at the event, which will go directly towards supporting children with brain tumours and their families. 👏 We are so grateful for CBPC’s support and can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in 2025. ✨ 📸 Pictures by: Rhys Taylor
