  • We are pleased to announce that Saga has this week entered into a new 20-year partnership for motor and home insurance with leading European insurer Ageas. In addition, Ageas will acquire Saga’s underwriting business, Acromas Insurance Company Limited (AICL).   This is an exciting next step for Saga Insurance. This complementary partnership will leverage the strength of the Saga brand and customer base, alongside Ageas's extensive and growing UK insurance expertise.   Together, we represent a winning combination.     We are delighted to be part of National Older Workers Week. To round it off, we are proud to have launched our Age and Generation Colleague Network, as part of our ongoing commitment to age inclusion and championing multigenerational collaboration. The purpose of this network is to connect colleagues of all ages and to have a space to have an open dialogue around how we can create and nurture a positive working environment for all ages. Hearing from our Chair of the Network, Jo Clark, she had this to add "Today's workplace brings together up to five generations, and at Saga, we're excited to celebrate inclusivity and build meaningful connections.   • This week, Saga were proud to celebrate National Carers Week.   We recognise that caring responsibilities can have a huge impact on a carer’s life both day-to-day and long-term, affecting relationships, health, finances, and work. Sometimes, the transition from helping loved ones in the short term to longer-term is so subtle, individuals might even be unaware they’ve become a carer. Our aim of Carers Week is to help our colleagues know that they are not alone, by acknowledging the challenges that they face and raise awareness of the support available, to help them balance their caring responsibilities alongside their work at Saga, like the ‘Caring for Others’ policy, that we introduced earlier this year, providing paid leave for those with caring responsibilities. One of our colleagues spoke to us about their experience of being a carer and the value of having support from her employer:   “Being a carer is tough at times, which is why having a good support system and an understanding manager and employer can make all the difference”   Let’s all show appreciation for the outstanding contribution that unpaid carers make to their families, friends and communities up and down the UK.  #CarersWeek #ExperienceIsEverything
