About us

The National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service (NaVCIS) is a National Police Unit hosted by Hampshire Police. It is 100% funded by private industry under the provisions of the Police Act 1996 and works independently under the direction of the National Police Chiefs Council lead ACC Jenny Sims (Merseyside Police). The primary function is to investigate reports of vehicle finance crime and provide specialist operational analysis, advice and support to UK Police Forces. There are five teams within NaVCIS which are Freight, Intelligence, Investigations, Leisure and Ports. Please do not report crime on this page. This page is not monitored 24-hours a day.
