About us
We are a team of like-minded individuals delivering a commercially designed building services solution; we pride ourselves on the quality of our product. Founded in 2000, the team is 50 strong and growing. We operate from our central London office in mid-town and are firmly established as one of London’s largest privately owned sustainability and engineering services design practices. Although based in London, we can offer a worldwide service through mTT/SRB in Serbia and mTT/WORLD in Dubai. We have a successful track record of projects across Europe and the Middle East. We pride ourselves on being designers first and foremost, but also offer strategic advice to developers, owners and occupiers across all elements of construction. The majority of our engineers are Low Carbon Consultants and we operate a rolling programme of accreditation in order to demonstrate a sustainability approach to our discipline. We have a dedicated sustainability team, including consultants, assessors and building simulation engineers that provide advice and analysis to planning, demonstrating that the project sustainability policy requirements are met, robustly and economically. We offer BREEAM Assessments (including bespoke variants) across all sectors to the highest level of accreditation. We are also accredited Home Quality Mark (HQM) Assessors and Certified European Passivhaus Consultants. We are Level 5 Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) and DEC registered assessors with a team of building simulation engineers that is able to model the most complex of buildings. We can provide compliance, thermal and occupational analysis. This also includes internal and external CFD analyses for temperature, air-flow, micro-climate and wind effects.

Another Planning win, this time in Yeovil. Somerset Council has granted permission for the redevelopment of the former Milk & More site in Yeovil. This project will create circa 14,000 sqft of premium industrial warehouse space, spread across three units on the Lynx Trading Estate. We look forward to commencing construction early next year. I was delighted to represent urbanest UK on stage alongside the City of London Corporation to collect the Building London Planning Award for Best Heritage or Culture Project for Urbanest City; which at its heart has a free to access public exhibition that reveals a once hidden section of London’s Roman Wall as well as an array of artefacts spanning 2,000 years of the site’s history. We are incredibly proud of the development and the community we have built within it alongside our partner King's College London as well as critically, the impact it has had locally for City residents and visitors alike. This success would not have been possible without the skill of the planning, design and construction teams and the genuine collaboration between urbanest UK, City of London Corporation, English Heritage and the London Museum. This 🏆 and recognition joins City of London Building of the Year and a CIVIC TRUST AWARDS already obtained by this sector leading development. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁: 𝟮 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗴𝗮𝗿 𝗪𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗸𝘆𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻! We've reached an important milestone on the Trafalgar Way scheme, which sets a new benchmark with the largest Passivhaus PBSA project in Europe, for urbanest UK. The first primary plate girder beams were installed, which when completed will provide students with an amenity deck linking the two PBSA towers in spectacular style. Taking the the bold step of designing this bridge as a tie between the two towers in order to increase air-tightness for Passivhaus performance, we worked closely with the site team, developing an installation strategy that respected the design principle without impacting site programme.
