It's not every day you get to celebrate the topping out of a scheme with views like this over central London! Last week we gathered at sunset with our colleagues, partners and investors to celebrate the topping out of the residential towers at our transformational zone 1 regeneration scheme, The Elephant. Marked with speeches from Michael Waters, Project Director at Multiplex, Richard Palmer, Development Director at Delancey and Get Living CEO Rick de Blaby, the milestone brings us one step closer to the launch of the scheme in 2026, which will deliver new rental homes, shops, restaurants and a state-of-the-art new campus for London College of Communication, part of University of the Arts London. #TheElephant #Regeneration #Buildtorent

This year, we were proud to support nine community organisations and projects across our neighbourhoods, from London to Maidenhead to Manchester, with a total of £80,000 in funding. Working with ActionFunder, a platform that brings responsible businesses together with non-profits to make change happen, our Inspiring Community funds help enact positive change in local communities by supporting upskilling, improving mental and physical health and providing greater access to cultural and environmental-led activities. Groups that received support this year include Friends of Maidenhead Waterway, a charity committed to improving access to the waterway for all; Mads do & Mend CIC, an organisation which empowers communities to mend clothes themselves through craft and creativity; Chobham Friends, the parent-teacher association for Chobham Academy primary at East Village and Foundation 92, which works with young people in Pendleton, Greater Manchester to provide upskilling and wellbeing opportunities. We had a fantastic evening at the festive edition of Built to Rock, featuring our own Rick de Blaby on bass guitar! Thanks to all those that came along to enjoy the music and support The Listening Place, which does invaluable work supporting those facing suicidal thoughts.
Built to Rock last night 🎸🎤🌟 A packed house from across the Rental Living sector rocked out to not one, but two incredible bands – both led by the inimitable Andrew Yates of DLA Piper. The energy was electric, with talented musicians delivering a truly memorable performance. For the past three years, RÆBURN at The Lab E20 has had a real impact driving the conversation around sustainable retail, with a programme put together by Yasmin Jones-Henry that has seen partnerships, exhibitions, workshops and panels all hosted in the space. Expect more insightful workshops and activity at this year's Christmas Market on 28 November, where you can enjoy a drink and learn about the art of deconstruction and repurposing. #TheLabE20 #SocialValue #RegenerativeByDesign #Sustainableretail
Ending our 2024 edition of #RegenerativeByDesign with a BANG! 💥🎆🎇💥 The Lab E20 Xmas Market Programme, sponsored by Get Living, is RÆBURN's opportunity to deliver thought leadership for rethinking retail spaces - and how to amplify social value through our provocations towards who is given access to these spaces! In 2021, in our first year we set out to leverage RÆBURN's brand profile to elevate and support emerging innovative retail businesses and I'm proud to say 3 years later this particular workstream of "rethinking retail" in support of craft, community and the circular economy has reached new heights. Over the last 3 years, it's been wonderful to have been able to broker the partnerships and curate the programming around this particular theme of rethinking retail, as consumer behavioural change is a crucial element in our transition towards a circular and more inclusive economy. Our previous collaborations include: LOANHOOD AKOJO MARKET Intoart Circular Threads Go East Vintage Colèchi This year we've taken all the learnings from 2021, 2022 and 2023 editions of The Lab E20 Xmas Market and for 2024 we've got a BLOCKBUSTER line up, co-designed with our artists in residence and programme partners. Last week we marked the launch of our new London neighbourhood, The Filigree, in style on the rooftop terraces. Colleagues, partners and local stakeholders gathered in the the stunning penthouse apartments to celebrate, with unparalleled views spanning the city. Just steps away from Lewisham station, the Filigree offers 649 new homes, of which 106 are affordable, alongside landscaped public realm and 88,000 sq ft of commercial space for new retailers and leisure operators. With high demand for new, professionally managed rental homes, our first residents are already settled in and the new community is growing fast. The Filigree is part of the transformational Lewisham Gateway project, one of the largest regeneration schemes in South East London, led by Muse in collaboration with the London Borough of Lewisham, the Mayor of London and Transport for London, supported by Homes England. A pleasure to host the NLA study tour today and talk about our exciting plans underway at The Elephant.
Earlier today we enjoyed a study tour with Get Living and heard from Allies and Morrison Gardiner & Theobald LLP about one of the London's major regeneration projects, Elephant and Castle Town Centre. Many thanks to Multiplex and Delancey for facilitating this fascinating visit! Set to complete in 2026, the project will deliver 500 homes for rent, restaurants, cultural spaces, 55,000 sq ft of workspace, and a state-of-the-art University of the Arts London campus. The public realm will be transformed with three new streets, a central public square, and extensive landscaping. The development also includes major public transport upgrades, including a new Northern Line entrance with escalator and lift access and designed to enable a potential future #BakerlooLine extension.

The Elephant has officially topped out! 🎉 On Monday, we were joined by partners, stakeholders and guests to celebrate the topping out of the new UAL College of Communication campus, with incredible views across the city. Marked with speeches from Get Living CEO Rick de Blaby, Delancey Development Director Richard Palmer, UAL Vice-Chancellor Karen Stanton, Head of London College of Communication Professor Kene Igweonu, Mayor of Southwark, Naima Ali and Cllr Martin Seaton, the event marked the completion of the highest point of the building, an important milestone as we head towards the launch of the scheme. When it opens, the cutting edge new campus will be home to over 5,000 students and over 500 staff, supporting the next generation of future-facing creatives. Having been based in the area since 1962, London College of Communication has a proven track record of bringing educational, cultural, and economic benefits to the local area and we were delighted to be joined by several alumni who studied at LCC when the original building opened 60 years ago. The Elephant is set to completely transform the heart of Elephant & Castle. With new homes, shops, restaurants and leisure space on track to open in 2026, followed by the opening of the new LCC campus shortly after in 2027, it's full steam ahead for Multiplex on site! #TheElephant #ElephantandCastle #Regeneration #Urbantransformation #ToppingOut
