🎄 SNG (Sovereign Network Group) set out to spread festive cheer this year, by funding community projects – and they delivered! 🎉 Over 65 projects shared £58,000 in funding, bringing support to those who needed it most. From community events tackling loneliness to free hot meals, heat cafes, and toy donations, the impact was felt by many. 💡 If done right, small grants are a proven strategy for big impact. Why? According to The National Lottery Community Fund's report '𝘚𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴, 𝘉𝘪𝘨 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘵’, small grants are essential for getting resources to areas larger funds often miss. Local charities and community groups have the connections and trust to tackle issues close to home, but they’re often left out of the funding equation. IPPR North ’s report ‘𝘛𝘰𝘰 𝘚𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘍𝘢𝘪𝘭’ confirms that these smaller organisations play a pivotal role in engaging with those who are hardest to reach.
