👀 Baked London icons feature in this year’s Gingerbread “Recycled” City The Gingerbread City is back for its 8th year, curated by the Museum of Architecture. This year’s theme ‘Recycled City’ brings to life biscuity versions of iconic London landmarks like the London Eye while celebrating the power of re-use, retrofit, and repurposing in architecture. We loved exploring the gingerbread creations in person. Here are six places that caught our eye: ⭐ A taste of the Devonport House Project by Stride Treglown ⭐ Existing industrial buildings repurposed in baked form by Child Graddon Lewis ⭐ Repurposing the wheel - Tasteful London Eye Park by Sheppard Robson ⭐ The Gaumont - where the bread-magic happens by Studio PDP ⭐ Sweet (re)imagination of the Hearst Tower by Foster + Partners ⭐ A real Gingerbread community by Tibbalds Swipe to get a sweet taste of these designs. For more details, check out our blog (link in comments). The festive exhibition is taking place at the Gaumont in Chelsea and runs until the 29th of December 2024, so you can still go and see the designs! Have you already been there? If so, which was your favourite gingerbread place? #architecture #builtenvironment #gingerbreadcity2024 #placemaking #urbandesign
