We’re pleased to announce Alan Cleary has joined Chetwood Financial as Chair of our Mortgage Advisory Board. Alan is a prominent professional in the intermediary mortgage market. During a stellar career spanning more than 30 years, he's served as Head of Sales at BM Solutions, Director of Halifax Intermediaries and Managing Director at Exact Mortgage Experts. He’s probably best known for co-founding Charter Court Financial Services in 2008, and for playing a key part in turning Precise Mortgages into one of the UK’s leading specialist lenders. In his new role, Alan will provide guidance on the commercial strategy for both ModaMortgages and CHL Mortgages for Intermediaries (CMI), advising us on how to grow each part of the business and applying his vast experience to ensure both propositions resonate with brokers. We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Roger Morris as our Group Distribution Director. As one of the most well-known and respected voices in the UK’s mortgage industry, Roger probably needs no introduction to a lot of you, so we’re thrilled to have him on board. Roger will be responsible for distribution, focusing on CHL Mortgages for Intermediaries’ networks and mortgage clubs initially, as well as ModaMortgages’ key partners when we go live. His expertise in financial services distribution will prove invaluable as we look to build on both brands’ presence in the specialist lending space. Second place went to "The 404s", Alex Williams Beth Stevens CMgr MCMI, CORM, IRMCert and Benjamin Young for their concept "Hope Heals", a smartphone app designed to make counselling and support more accessible. Our hackathon was not just a success; it was a testament to the incredible creativity, commitment, focus, and technical capability of all our participants. We’re excited to announce we’ve acquired CHL Mortgages for Intermediaries (CMI) from Barossa Asset Purchaser Sarl. The purchase will give us access to an established mortgage lending team which will enhance the skills and experience we’ve already got in place. It will enable us to grow our mortgage business faster and help us expand our reach in the mortgage broker market.
