"We shelved so many projects as we couldn't meet our COGs targets" In reality, this means £m's spent on vaccine candidates that get abandoned as a result of process inefficiencies. Cost and reproducibility in cell manufacturing is a critical challenge for the industry and now is the time to fix it. Let's be honest, solving 'sticky cell' bottlenecks doesn't make for the best dinner conversation, however, unlocking equitable access to treatments is something to get excited about. It's so important to remember what the field is striving to achieve during what has been a tough couple of years for Life Science businesses. CellRev have lots in the pipeline for 2025 including an exciting measles related project that kicks off in Jan.

Aggregation AND Agitation kill cells. For decades, we have over engineered bioprocesses to tackle common upstream inefficiencies caused by aggregation and clumping. The below graph, produced using hMSCs grown on microcarriers, shows over 60% aggregation with agitation speeds set at 30 rpm. The study goes on to state that optimal growth was seen at 60 rpm (30%+ aggregation) with 90 rpm still not capable of preventing aggregation entirely. CellRev's principal product, AggreGuard, prevents cell-to-cell bridging which initiates aggregation, at agitation speeds of 30 - 40 rpm. No shear. No aggregation. Live Cells. Lives Saved.
