  • This festive season, why not give the gift of play? 🎁    For many young people with sensory sensitivities, the simple joy of visiting a playpark is not always accessible due to fear of judgment and sensory concerns.     That’s why we launched our sensory outdoor playpark project. We aim to create a safe space where young people with sensory needs can exercise their right to play. The playpark has been designed to engage sensory experiences and reduce sensory overload.    By supporting a piece of play equipment this Christmas, you’ll ensure the young people have a specially designed and dedicated playpark where they can enjoy their right to play.    Thank you Cadherent for bringing our playpark to life through 3D visualisation! Watch out for more to come in the new year. To enquire about donating towards any of these pieces of equipment, please contact fundraising@crss.org.uk

  • It’s almost a month since we celebrated the launch of Murtle Market!    Since then, the project has been recognised in parliament due to the social enterprise's positive impact on the environment and the young people we support. The main aim of Murtle Market is to provide meaningful work opportunities and skills development for young people with complex additional support needs.    Thank you Douglas Lumsden for raising the parliamentary motion and STV Group plc for filming the launch event!     Read the full motion: https://lnkd.in/eTJJpaBk

  • Christmas at Camphill School Aberdeen ⭐ As part of our ongoing festive celebrations, we hosted a wreath-making workshop to help the young people get into the Christmas spirit. Meanwhile, some of the day service students went on a trip to pick out a Christmas tree to decorate the hub! By getting to personalise their space, the young people gain ownership and pride in their surroundings. 🎄

  • We hosted our final pop-up shop of 2024 at Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) last week! We were there to showcase the unique arts and crafts made by the young people in our vocational workshops. Many of these products are now also available to purchase at Murtle Market! Thank you to CNR for hosting us and to everyone who stopped by our display to hear more about our work and to shop for our products. If you would like to organise a pop-up in your office for 2025 get in touch: https://lnkd.in/eDCWYRzn

  • We recently hosted our STARS Awards for the winter term. ⭐    The STARS (Social, Taking part, Attaining, Responsibility, Self-directing) awards recognise the achievements our young people have made throughout the term.    For many of our students, traditional qualifications are not always an option. These awards offer an alternative way to celebrate their successes and are based on outcomes of activities undertaken during our vocational workshops.    We’re so proud of all our stars! 👏

  • We’re happy to have been selected by Arnlea Systems to be their charity partner for 2025! 🤝   After volunteering on our estate this year and seeing our work in action, the team decided to extend their support to us by becoming a corporate partner.   We can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in the next year!   If you’re interested in finding out more about our corporate partnerships for 2025, visit: https://lnkd.in/eDCWYRzn

  • A highlight of the year for many of our community is Christmas and all the events and activities they can get involved in. 🎄   Every year, our art workshop creates beautiful printed Christmas cards. This year, the cards feature our new residential house which has been built due to the support of generous funders and will open in 2025!    The repetitive process of printing has many therapeutic benefits and helps develop fine motor skills. Creating Christmas cards is also great for our young people as they get to see the physical output of their work, which they can then gift to friends and family.   We also have a small selection of these cards available to purchase at Murtle Market. Get them while you can!
