  • We are delighted to share that NVPC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ESSEC Business School to deepen its social impact in Singapore in support of #SG60 and ESSEC’s 20th anniversary next year. ESSEC Business School will commit at least 2,000 volunteering hours, with 500 students and faculty members participating in service- and skills-based volunteering initiatives. They will work with organisations such as FaithActs, the SG Cares Volunteer Centre for Queenstown. This marks ESSEC’s largest volunteerism effort since its establishment in Singapore in 2005. Mr Tony Soh, CEO of NVPC, said: “NVPC’s MOU with ESSEC Business School represents a strategic and significant step in embedding the Corporate Purpose mindset within the business community in Singapore and beyond. By collaborating with institutes of higher learning such as ESSEC, we are nurturing the next generation of leaders who embrace a culture of purpose-driven business excellence, and fostering a deeper commitment to societal contributions among our business leaders of tomorrow. Through such partnerships, we hope to inspire more organisations and individuals towards purpose-driven impact, utilising their assets, skills, and talents to contribute to a more caring, inclusive, and compassionate society.” Together with NVPC, ESSEC will also conduct a study to evaluate the impact and success factors of this initiative. The study aims to provide actionable insights to help organisations create impactful and sustained corporate volunteering programmes. We are proud to be part of this exciting journey towards nurturing the next generation of business leaders through volunteerism. • 🌍 On International Volunteer Day, our CEO Tony Soh shared the story of Singapore's evolving volunteerism landscape at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD - OCDE)'s webinar: Valorising Volunteering for People and Places: International Trends and Experiences. 📊   With a steady recovery in volunteerism post-pandemic and communities giving back in innovative ways, Singapore's experiences have much to share with our global peers — from the increase in giving formats from micro-volunteering to giving while making a purchase to crowdfunding. 📢 We thank the OECD for this fruitful exchange and look forward to continuing to lead and collaborate with others shaping the future of volunteerism worldwide. 🤝   View the webinar recording here: https://lnkd.in/gsXFn4pm   #nvpcsg #volunteerism #oecd #InternationalVolunteerDay #ivd

  • On 27 November, we welcomed 40 adult clients from MINDSG Ltd, one of Singapore's largest social service agencies, to NVPC for our annual Volunteering Day. Together, we engaged in arts and crafts activities, fostering connections through creativity and conversation. We also learned more about MINDS' invaluable services from special education to training centres to employment support for people with intellectual disabilities, their caregivers, and families across all life stages. 🌟 The same day also saw our regular Giving Hour, put together by our Corporate and Industry Partnerships team. Themed around impactful testimonies from organisations fostering individuals' long-term growth and success, the learning session featured inspiring talks from our friends at APSN that provides education for children, youths, and adults with intellectual disabilities, Flour Power SG which offers culinary training for learners building crucial life and work skills, and Trampolene which creates tailored career pathways and support structures for jobseekers. 🍞📚 Our colleagues also contributed their personal items to a silent auction that raised over S$1,000 for the Red Cross Home for the Disabled. ❤️ Here's to more meaningful collaborations towards a good cause. 🤝 #nvpcsg #givinghour #volunteerism #philanthropy

  • The youths of today show greater awareness and care for social and environmental issues, and NVPC is delighted to partner with Singapore Polytechnic (SP) to enhance hands-on opportunities for them to learn about purpose-driven, sustainable business.   The signed agreement between NVPC and SP will provide SP students with: • Industry Exposure: Industrial attachments, internships and mentorship from NVPC’s Company of Good members. • Experiential Learning: Hands-on experiences to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges. • Curriculum Integration: Incorporating NVPC’s Company of Good insights into SP School of Business' curriculum and enhancing exposure through guest speakers and learning journeys. • Continuing Education: Co-creation and development of continuing education and training courses centred around business sustainability and corporate purpose.   These enhancements combine important concepts and frameworks in business sustainability together with access to industry leaders and real-world business settings, so that students can gain both theoretical and practical knowledge to prepare them for the future. The collaboration underscores SP and NVPC’s shared commitment and vision to nurture the next generations of socially responsible entrepreneurs and business leaders. #nvpc #singaporepolytechnic
