🎄💝 Livingstone Shire Council is proud to launch the inaugural Mayor’s Christmas Giving Tree Appeal, bringing our community together to support families in need this festive season. With the rising cost of living affecting many, this initiative provides an opportunity for residents and businesses to help spread joy by donating unwrapped gifts, non-perishable food, toiletries, Christmas clothing, and decorations. Mayor Adam Belot said Christmas is a time of giving and hope, and this appeal is a small but meaningful way for us to unite as a community to support those who may be struggling. “With the rising cost of living, many families are facing financial challenges, and Christmas can be an especially difficult time,” Mayor Belot said. “This appeal is a way for us, as a community, to come together and bring joy to those who need it most." The donated items will be included in hampers prepared by volunteers from the iCare Community Project, which has already supported over 750 individuals and families this year. These hampers will bring much-needed relief, along with festive treats to brighten the season for those doing it tough. The Giving Trees are located at Big W Yeppoon and Drakes, Emu Park. Thank you to our generous community and to our partners Big W Yeppoon and Drakes Emu Park for joining us in making this appeal a reality. Together, we can bring hope and joy to those who need it most. 🌟 #LivingstoneShire #MayorsChristmasGivingTree #iCareCommunityProject #CommunityGiving #LocalGovernmentLeadership
