Now this could make someone a very nice Christmas present indeed, maybe even to themselves! Shayne Driscoll and the OTI Racing team have a 5% share left in this very exciting 2yo Filly by Per Incanto which they secured at the November "Ready to Run" sale in New Zealand. She has great appeal for many reasons, not least of which was the close relation that sold for $1.65m just a few hours later! Given she’s out of Irish Dream and closely related to Shillelagh, you should expect that there will be big interest from your fellow Irish Australian Chamber of Commerce members. However, interest has been so high, they’ve only 5% left, so you’ll need to act quickly. At only $6,300 plus GST for a 5% interest, this filly is exceptional value when one considers that this cost also includes all expenses (including freight to Australia) to December 31, 2024, and insurance to July 31, 2025. It could be a great way for a group of friends to enjoy the sport of kings together, with a very "Irish" high-quality filly! To express interest in participating, contact Shayne via shayne@oti.com.au today. https://lnkd.in/gANK87wD

Yesterday, we wrapped up our final Leaders’ Lunch of the year with an inspiring session featuring Ciarán Carruthers, Group CEO of Crown Resorts, hosted in his familiar surrounds of Crown Melbourne on the Yarra River. From childhood memories of Tallaght, Dublin, to overseeing one of the largest gaming resorts in Macau, Ciarán shared his incredible 30-year career journey, which led him to run some of the world's largest luxury resorts and gaming facilities in the southern hemisphere. Our discussion covered regulatory and transformation issues and the business's contribution to national and state economies. Ciarán also provided inspiring insights on leadership, new opportunities and innovation. Thank you, Ciarán Carruthers, for your sincerity and time and thanks to Jeff Doyle, as always, for facilitating such a captivating conversation. And a huge thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday and throughout this year. Your participation and engagement have been pivotal in making these lunches a success. We're excited to continue these meaningful conversations and collaborations in the New Year! #LeadersLunch #IrishAustralianChamber #UnlockandChampion #BusinessSuccess

Magical afternoon spent in the enthralling company of Ray Wilson of Plenary Group at our latest Leaders Lunch in Sydney. Thanks to Michael Cahalane and the WSce team for generously hosting and our President Jeff Doyle for another great "inquisition". You know when you're in a conversation that spans adventure, grit, values, ambition, humility and authenticity, you've been around greatness. When it pulls in Michael Collins, Eamon Dunphy, Damien Duff, Dermot Desmond, Limerick Hurling, Peter Canavan, Toners and O'Donoghues (IYKYK) then it really is something special. Thank you Ray for your candour, your generosity and your kindness. There's only one more chance to be part of a Leaders' Lunch in 2024, and that's next Wednesday in Melbourne with Ciarán Carruthers - details at https://lnkd.in/gEpXAVud - first in best dressed. #IrishAustralianChamber #UnlockandChampion #IrishAustralianBusinessSuccess

We are excited to announce the appointment of Nuala Cullen to the Irish Australian Chamber of Commerce's newly created Chief of Staff role. In this position, she will work with our CEO, Barry Corr, to implement our Board-endorsed strategy under the leadership of our President, Jeff Doyle. Nuala brings valuable experience from her role as Client Portfolio Manager at Deloitte. Before that, she was with Corrs Chambers Westgarth in various client relationship and account management roles. Welcoming Nuala to the team, Jeff said, "Nuala's experience in client development and marketing will make a positive difference to the Chamber, and we look forward to her contributing to the development of strategic initiatives in this field both now and into the future". CEO Barry Corr further welcomed Nuala's appointment, saying, "Having Nuala join our organisation at this next stage of growth is exciting. We have been on a journey of transformation over the last 18 months as we have continued to consolidate our position as the peak body for Irish Australian businesses. Nuala's appointment will further strengthen our key account management, ensuring we continue to meet the growing demand for membership across Australia". #IrishAustralianChamber #UnlockandChampion #IrishAustralianBusinessSuccess

We love to hear about the innovation and impact that our members are making in their industries. At times it is deliberately under the radar, but sometimes it's too good not to share - and when it's this cool, we had to get it posted! Those of you who were lucky enough to be part of our Business Delegation to Ireland will have met some of the Artemis Technologies Ltd team, and been on a tour of their very impressive facility in Belfast, where they work at the forefront of the maritime industry’s push towards decarbonisation through their revolutionary Artemis eFoiler® electric propulsion system, featuring a high-voltage battery energy storage system and ultra-high power density electric drivetrain. They have now embraced the challenge of decarbonising the luxury travel sector with the introduction of the Artemis EF-12 Escape. Recognising the rise in demand for sustainable tourism across luxury travel, the 100% electric high-end water taxi is a world-first for the sector. With zero operating emissions and a reduced wake to help protect shorelines and wildlife, the new craft offers an experience that is as gentle on the environment as it is luxurious for its passengers. We are hoping that the 2025 delegation (details at https://lnkd.in/gVSra78J ) will get the chance to see it in action for themselves, and wish the team in Belfast all the best with bringing it to market in Australia - where it would seem like a perfect option for the likes of Hamilton Island and Rottnest Island to name just two!
