Irish Australian Chamber of Commerce’s Post

We love to hear about the innovation and impact that our members are making in their industries. At times it is deliberately under the radar, but sometimes it's too good not to share - and when it's this cool, we had to get it posted! Those of you who were lucky enough to be part of our Business Delegation to Ireland will have met some of the Artemis Technologies Ltd team, and been on a tour of their very impressive facility in Belfast, where they work at the forefront of the maritime industry’s push towards decarbonisation through their revolutionary Artemis eFoiler® electric propulsion system, featuring a high-voltage battery energy storage system and ultra-high power density electric drivetrain. They have now embraced the challenge of decarbonising the luxury travel sector with the introduction of the Artemis EF-12 Escape. Recognising the rise in demand for sustainable tourism across luxury travel, the 100% electric high-end water taxi is a world-first for the sector. With zero operating emissions and a reduced wake to help protect shorelines and wildlife, the new craft offers an experience that is as gentle on the environment as it is luxurious for its passengers. We are hoping that the 2025 delegation (details at https://lnkd.in/gVSra78J ) will get the chance to see it in action for themselves, and wish the team in Belfast all the best with bringing it to market in Australia - where it would seem like a perfect option for the likes of Hamilton Island and Rottnest Island to name just two!
