🎄The champagne glasses are full, the bubbles rising with a gentle fizz, like whispers of celebration filling the room, and the clocks tick closer to the final moments of 2024. This past year has been nothing short of a whirlwind for #CultTech: from Demo Days and expert sessions, brimming with bold ideas and fresh perspectives, to workshops, concerts, and the CultTech Summit — a true testament to the synergy of creativity and technology. Each of these moments, big and small, was made possible by you, our ever-growing CultTech community. As we pause to take it all in, these memories remind us of the incredible journey we've shared. From inspiring conversations to groundbreaking collaborations, they’ve shaped who we are and set the stage for what’s next. As we prepare to leap into the unknowns of 2025, let’s remember that growth is never linear, creativity never predictable, and the future never certain. But that’s what makes it all so thrilling, right? Cheers to new adventures! 🥂

🎄At CultTech, we often talk about being at the intersection of culture and technology. We’re also guilty, at times, of contrasting these realms — culture as something soulful and intangible and tech as precise and detached. It’s a tempting way to make sense of the world, but isn't reality so much more intricate and fascinating than that? Writing code can be as creative as composing a poem, and crafting a poem may require as much research and discipline as a lab experiment. The boundaries between these worlds aren’t as clear as we might think — and that’s what makes them so exciting. As we close out the year, we wish you curiosity and openness, the courage to embrace complexity, and the joy of discovering the unexpected. Take time to rest and savour the holidays, and we’ll see you in 2025 — ready to explore and create together!

Thanks for the kind words, Mich! 🌟 It was a pleasure having you at the CultTech Summit and seeing your innovative approach to transforming museum visits. Museums have always been an essential part of #CultTech. They’re not just places to admire the past — they’re evolving hubs where technology, storytelling, and cultural innovation collide. And discovering new projects in this field is always inspiring!
A month ago, at the CultTech Summit - the largest European event for startups in the Culture and Technology sector - we had the chance to present amuseapp. It turned out to be an experience far beyond just pitching a project. On one hand, it was an opportunity to share our vision beyond Italy: transforming museum visits into personal, engaging, and technologically innovative experiences. On the other, it was a chance to connect with a unique community that, like us, sees culture not only as something to preserve but as a powerful opportunity for connection and growth. And none of this would have been possible without the incredible support of the Culttech Accelerator program. During those months of mentoring, we refined our business model, explored new opportunities, and built relationships with startups and professionals from around the globe. When an organization like the CultTech Association creates such well-crafted spaces to foster growth, the results are truly extraordinary. Every conversation with peers at the Summit became a stepping stone in our journey. Every meeting inspired us to enhance our approach and perfect our mission: to tell the right stories to the right visitors. Now, seven months after the program’s kickoff and just days away from its conclusion, we feel like part of a team of creators, visionaries, and innovators who are collectively shaping the future of culture. A heartfelt thank you to Marco, Paolo, Melissa, Irene, Federico, Francesco, Massimiliano and Alberto. To those who believe, to those who create, and to those who, like us, imagine a world where cultural experiences are truly for everyone. Enjoy, Mich

DrumGAN — an AI-driven drum sound synthesizer developed by the Sony CSL Music Team in Paris, is now available as a Web app! It uses something called Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs)—basically smart algorithms—to create high-quality drum sounds like kicks, snares, and cymbals. You can tweak settings like how “kick-like” or “snare-like” you want the sound to be, and it generates unique, custom drum samples for you. Even if you're not a musician but just having a boring day at the office — here's something to fiddle around with: https://lnkd.in/e9A-nMbM
Happy to announce that our legendary DrumGAN, developed 2020 by Javier Nistal Hurlé is now available as a web application. Free to use and without registration! 🥁 Give it a try at https://lnkd.in/ddHe3Esp Sony CSL Music Team #DrumGAN

🎥 The CultTech Summit 2024 — Where the Future of Culture Was Rewritten. Finally, the aftermovie is here. And it’s more than just a recap — it’s a manifesto for what happens when culture, technology, and bold ideas collide: https://lnkd.in/dfX3sygi 🚀 What went down: ‣ Investors who underestimated culture? Think again. This Summit proved that CultTech is not only thriving but redefining success. Look at the breakthroughs like Endel, Cuseum or Primephonic. Or talk to Severin Zugmayer or Oliver Holle about the role of the creative economy in today's investment landscape — and you might be surprised. ‣ From fashion to social awareness, CultTech showcased its superpower—a movement that bridges diverse industries with purpose and impact. Interested in the EU's evolution of AI legal agenda? Here's Christiane Stützle for you. Immersive storytelling? Talk to Gloria Maria Cappelletti. Or maybe you're wondering how culture can impact urban life? Michael Lynch from NEOM and Gerfried Stocker from Ars Electronica ready to share their vision. ‣ And the energy? Electric. This wasn’t just an event — it was a launchpad for the future of the creative economy. Thousands of connections were made, sparking collaborations, partnerships, and ideas. We hope the video captures these vibes perfectly. It’s been over a month since the CultTech Summit, but the mentions keep rolling in! Delighted to see us featured in Quotidien de l'Art, a leading French daily focused on all things art, culture, and the forces shaping their future. For a publication that covers the art world with such depth, it’s an honour to be included on its pages. For those who parlez français, you can enjoy the original piece — but don’t worry, the ChatGPT translation was passable enough (or so our admin claims). https://lnkd.in/dFSmujeH

We all know the tech world can be brutal — sometimes even heartless — with all the KPIs, ROIs, and other familiar abbreviations looming over people. That’s not to say we should all quit, but we could at least try to elevate the human side of it. Because without the human side, why are we even doing it in the first place? Of course, we’re not perfect either, and there’s still a lot to learn. However, the panel on 'Diversity and Inclusion in #CultTech' was our attempt to highlight that aspect — thanks to its participants, Ana Alvarez, Kave Bulambo (She/Her) and Christoph Hassler. We’ll be releasing the summary of the talk soon, but for now, a word from Rashid Owoyele, the moderator (continued in the second card): “Having opened with our panel on creating inclusive culture and examining power dynamics alongside social, environmental, and economic justice, I’ve had multiple people approach me to share their personal experiences. They told me that what we discussed was necessary at the CultTech Summit.” So yes, sometimes it's not just about getting there — it's about how we do it, too. That is why, for instance, mental health is one of the key aspects of the Culttech Accelerator programme. That's fantastic if you managed to land your first seed round, but it's even better to achieve that without being burnt out and depressed. Take care y'all ❤️

🏛️ When planning a panel on tech in modern museums, it was clear we 𝒉𝒂𝒅 to have Brendan Ciecko from Cuseum — his work is a benchmark in this space. Thankfully, it all came together, and his insights made the discussion even richer. So yes, the panel explored how digital tools are transforming engagement with culture, with some fresh perspectives on where this intersection is heading. Cuseum has now shared a detailed blog post about the panel and their reflections from the summit. If you're curious about how technology is redefining the museum experience, it's worth a read: Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/dXrjYeuq Obviously, huge thanks to the other panelists — Martijn van Schaik, Kristina Leipold, Stephanie Meisl — it wouldn't be possible without you 💙
