A big priority for the ICC’s collaborative model is to ensure multiple voices reach funders in our network. We reached out to eight incredible civil society organisations (AKRSP-India, Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy, CInI - Collectives for Integrated Livelihood Initiatives, Tata Trusts, Keystone Foundation, People’s Courage International, Vasudha Foundation India, WASSANIndia, and Watershed Organisation Trust (WOTR)) to hear their perspectives on successes and challenges from 2024. We asked them to highlight one impactful climate initiative they are working on, how it benefits communities they work with, and one win and one challenge that they’d like funders to hear about. 🔗Read the article here: https://lnkd.in/gvcriMNQ

Nestled along the serene Betwa River, the India Climate Collaborative, in partnership with Development Alternatives, hosted a captivating panel discussion—Nadi Kinare Chaupal. Moderated by Siddharth Bhatia, Lead- Earth Exponential at the ICC, the panel brought together CSR leaders and experts shaping climate action at the grassroots. The panel included Hiba Choudhary (Manager - CSR, Wingify Foundation), Prabhakant Jain (Head CSR, DS Group), Venkat Jayagopi (Senior Manager, Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation) and Ashish Jha (Founder, TheCSRUniverse | The CSR Universe). Key takeaways: - Bridging CSR Gaps: While CSR funding grows, aligning funds with smaller NGOs demonstrating measurable outcomes remains a challenge. - Climate Integration: Linking climate resilience to sectors like education, health, and livelihoods can drive funding and amplify impact. - Proof of Concept: CSR seeks scalable solutions with demonstrated success, expediting funding and compliance processes. - Grassroots Strength: NGOs play a pivotal role in bridging gaps for government schemes, ensuring adoption at the community level. - Sustainability Focus: Long-term financial and impact sustainability, driven by community ownership, is critical for lasting change. #ICC #NadiKinareChaupal #TGY2024 #DevelopmentAlternatives #ClimateAction #ClimateChange #SustainableSolutions #EarthExponential
