A big priority for the ICC’s collaborative model is to ensure multiple voices reach funders in our network. We reached out to eight incredible civil society organisations (AKRSP-India, Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy, CInI - Collectives for Integrated Livelihood Initiatives, Tata Trusts, Keystone Foundation, People’s Courage International, Vasudha Foundation India, WASSANIndia, and Watershed Organisation Trust (WOTR)) to hear their perspectives on successes and challenges from 2024. We asked them to highlight one impactful climate initiative they are working on, how it benefits communities they work with, and one win and one challenge that they’d like funders to hear about. 🔗Read the article here: https://lnkd.in/gvcriMNQ

As Africa's roadmap, Agenda 2063's 15 Flagship Projects are critical enablers for accelerating progress on the SDGs across the continent. By highlighting these synergies, businesses, civil society, and individuals can contribute to this pan-African development agenda through increased collaboration and partnerships. beside that i want to hear this Agenda translating the continental vision into tangible benefits for local African communities. The likes of African Continental Free Trade Area is boosting intra-African trade and incomes for small-scale cross-border traders, High-Speed Train Network is improving mobility and market access for rural farmers, Renewable Energy Initiative is providing clean, affordable power to power schools, businesses, and healthcare in underserved areas, The Pan-African Virtual University is expanding educational opportunities, especially for remote communities And the African Humanitarian Agency is strengthening local resilience and disaster response. These are just a few examples of how Agenda 2063 can help to transform lives and livelihoods at the grassroots level across the continent. Cant wait to be part of this Conference.

"Reflections from the ACFID Conference 2024: Embracing Solidarity and Resilience for Sustainable Change" I had the privilege of attending my first ACFID Conference in Sydney, representing Nusa Tenggara Association, on the 23rd and 24th of this month. The experience was incredibly enlightening, focusing on how solidarity and resilience can tackle the complex challenges of our time. The sessions covered Australia’s role on the global stage, emphasizing the importance of contributing its fair share, redefining community resilience, implementing taxation measures to address rising inequality, and exploring case studies on building climate resilience through anticipatory action plans. One key takeaway that stood out to me was: “Despair is global; hope is local.” Building meaningful relationships with communities and actively involving them in addressing issues impacting global society is crucial for creating lasting change. I look forward to applying these lessons in my work with Nusa Tenggara Association. #ACFID2024 #Solidarity #Resilience #InternationalDevelopment #ClimateAction #CommunityEngagement #SustainableChange

⭐ How can CSOs respond to #climatechange in their work when they are struggling with basic livelihood and development challenges? ⭐ What can we, as funders, do to help build this capacity at a systemic level? ⭐ And most importantly, how can our funding support the transition from a system that works in siloes to one that integrates climate as a cross-cutting lens with coordinated action across the board? RNP's Tanya Kak writes a piece for India Development Review (IDR) on the what, why and how of prioritizing climate-sensitive development. https://lnkd.in/dZkRbsge
