#CSTEP will present the #Rooftop #Solar Explorer (#RTSE) tool at the Friends of Climate Action Cell at Malleshwaram, #Bengaluru tomorrow.
Bengaluru became the third mega city of India to officially prepare and publish a city Climate Action and Resilience Plan, exactly a year ago. Subsequently a Climate Action Cell hss been constituted to monitor implementation of this ambitious plan chaired by Special Commissioner Preeti Gehlot I.A.S., BBMP. To encourage civic and environmental groups of Bengaluru that already work on climate action on the ground to come together and align with the climate action plan, Friends of Climate Action Cell has been formed - 500+ organizations, academic institutions and corporates have joined this platform. Many have submitted formal proposals to collaborate with the Climate Action Cell and some of them started working on delivering as well. Recently BBMP recruited 6 Fellows to augment the capacities of the Climate Action Cell To appraise the activities of Climate Action Cell to general public and to bring all these “Friends” together, BBMP is organizing a meeting on Saturday 21st December at BBMP IPP Centre, Malleswaram at 11AM. Please join this event to understand how the Climate Action Cell is working and to see progress of various collaborations and some exciting announcements. Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy developed an innovative tool to identify potential of roof top solar using aerial studies and will be demonstrating this tool.
